I am a MSU grad, living in Ohio, 2 daughters at ND, mom went to Saint Marys, I love ND and hate Michigan. Pretty neutral about OSU. When I moved here, people would comment about me being from Michigan, my response was and is, you(OSU fans) only have to deal with them(UofM fans) a week a year, I had deal with them 365 days a year. Go Irish.

I wish we hated OSU more… if we had the same distain for Ohio St as Michigan does, we probably win this game… unfortunately, Marcus Freeman is an Ohio State alum 🤣OSU is the more talented team, that’s equally well coached, so like Miami in 88 the only way to beat them is to truly hate them. Without that reckless passion, we probably lose, unless Will Howard melts down.

Let's assume the same roster (which it wouldn't be) and staff. BK would've lost to TAMU, beaten NIU, lost to Louisville and USC and taken the 9-3 Irish to the Pinstripe Bowl.

I have a couple of Michigan fan friends. One, out of the gate, was completely on board with ND beating OSU. He wanted nothing more than for OSU to lose. The other was a bit hesitant. His initial feeling was he wanted it to end with Michigan having beaten the National Champion. After a couple of days, though, he flipped. He just cannot stand the idea of OSU winning.

Comments about BK playing it safe and not being aggressive are spot on. One thing that I absolutely cannot stand that coaches do, including BK, is near the end of the first half with a couple of minutes left and having possession of the ball and just running the clock down to hurry up to go into the half. WHY? You have time, use it! You might be able to get in position to kick a field goal. These same coaches scrambling at the end of the game calling time outs because they need more time for a final score. You had more time at the end of the first half and you threw it away! Something BK ALWAYS did. Freeman always uses all the time available to him and it is so refreshing to see. Sets a mindset to the team saying they are always going to be aggressive and scratch and claw for every point. Thank you coach Free!

Swarbrick was the real problem. He enabled Kelly's mediocrity and whining for more than a decade. Kelly would still be on the sidelines if he hadn't left of his own volition. Swarbrick never once considered axing him.

Thank & THANK fellow OHIO BRO BRADY QUINN...fraternity broz at Ohio U got me to go see Brady still at Dublin Coffman HS as he was recruited by ND & they knew i was a lifelong Irish born same day as Joe Theismann...was so impressed with his decency & character & then his tenure at ND QB...still think he got robbed for the Heisman...my basketball broz changed my nickname from Brad to Brady, so my respect just went up exponentially for Brady Quinn...he is that same HS QB in character & integrity & authenticity & decency, today & more!!! As for BK; was impressed with him & his QBs at Central Michigan one of our Bobcat rivals; then he stiffed them for Cincy, then stiffed Bearcats for ND, then way he left ND was pathetic & the way he disrespected his own players, unforgivable, then claiming all this success is about his players he recruited; while what he built up may be so, however all his statements always revealed his character flaw...it's always about himself & not about his college age players, nor loyalty to the university that gave him the platform to win...sad little character...im aorry i spent time defending who i thought he was from back at Central Michigan. All my former HS students i took to all the home games in 1988 & Fiesta Bowl are still IRISH fans & grateful for those opportunities GO IRISH!!! GO RILEY LEONARD & EVERY MEMBER of NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL TEAM FAMILY including Coach Freeman & all those Asst Coaches...ALL LOYAL SONS OF NOTRE DAME... & GO BRADY QUINN & the legacy still growing for ND!!! I don’t think BK is EXCITED for ND, but it is LAUGHABLE that you’ve taken what he said about the seniors out of context. Nobody asked Faust when the 1988 team won the National Championship, but if they had, you’d be fine with HIM admitting the man recruited the seniors. TBE ONLY REVISIONIST HISTORY is yours. I expected him to say something objectionable, but he didn’t. You guys are unbelievably myopic. You pretend like the administration didn’t force BK out-EXACTLY LIKR THET DID LOU.
