Very tidy job mate, well done! Simple, compact but still got a lot packed into it. I notice you have not only "yellow" light bulbs but the ability to dim the main ones - that's exactly what we would like. When we go camping and set up our nice, gently lit camp, sometimes a neighbouring site suddenly lights up like Close Encounters of the Third Kind with the over the top dazzling blue-/white light. We went and checked new campers and vans put at a show recently and apparently the desired "look" these days resembles the inside of a high class brothel! Give me some timber in there any day - love the van mate, I'm sure you'll have a lot of great trips in it.

Thanks Dave, we looked at new vans at a show also and thought the very same. Lol. That's when I decided we could do it cheaper and more individual with the help and advice from other KZbin friends who have done similar. Now I am considering a tow bar and rack for a small dirt bike or similar. In the video the bulb does have a yellow glow, I am sure they were branded as "warm" effect instead of "cool" which is a brighter white. Absolutely amazing mate, great video too. You've done an fantastic job. Nice to see the similarities with my van but loved seeing all the stuff you did differently. That toilet cupboard I do like a lot, sure beats lifting it out from under the bed like I have to. Your wife is right about the fairy lights haha no van is complete without them. Nice conversion. I did not see any place for your clothes and cooking ware. I presume the van is a day trip van.

Clothes are kept under the pull out bed on one of the sliding drawers and cooking ware is kept in the kitchen unit cupboards and wardrobe. It has been used for trips longer than one week. I have a coolbox that gets put outside when we arrive at camp. I also use the one ring gas canister stoves for cooking, I have 2 of those. It's ideal for a day or as long as we wish. Hey nice van ... we have the same curtains but could do with adding some extra blackout .. dis you use any special material as the one that comes with it is super stretchy.

Thanks Blake, it's the same super stretchy material with some blackout material sown on by my neighbour, just make sure you only sow it at the top and leave the blackout material loose at the bottom as there is no stretch in it.

They are called Nova luggage net large. I got them from Leisure outlet for £9.99 each, looks like they are now £15 each. Only a few places supply them that size. They are a German brand. 👍

Thanks for your comment Dan. The sofa bed is 640mm in seating position and pulls out to 1000mm in bed position. If I were to do it again I would alter those sizes so that the bed when pulled out just meets the side unit. It's short by about 200mm.

Thanks Michael, you would lose heat in the winter and be too warm on a sunny day with just the standard windows. But if you blacked some of them out and insulated from the inside it would be fine. You can buy a tinted film that covers clear glass. 👍

Use any size Vivaro or Trafic. There is only 400mm difference between the SWB and LWB versions. I have the LWB.

Great conversion, whats the length of your bed? Would someone 6ft+ be able to sleep comfortably?

Thanks Nathan, my bed length is 6ft 4ins. It could be made longer by moving the tall cupboard up towards the rear doors a few inches or if it wasn't there at all it would be over 7ft.

I have the LWB, there is 400mm of a difference in length, go for a LWB if you can get one.👍

It's 1.8m long and 640mm wide as a sofa and pulls out to 1m wide in bed mode.
