I thought you could eat at any dining hall?

Yes, you can eat at any dining hall! You get three meal swipes per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and you can choose to go to any dining hall with each swipe. You can't swipe at one dining hall however and then just hop over to another dining hall; you would have to use another meal swipe. On this day though, there was an event that allowed us to eat at all of the dining halls with just one meal swipe. So within the span of 3 hours (dinner time), we went to all the dining halls.

so the dining hall fee is included in the tuition. I believe on average Stanford students pay around 20k per quarter so with a grand total of 60k? I was considered as low income so I paid less each quarter but I still had to use loans every quarter as well. Came out of Stanford with a hefty debt to be paid as well haha. Stanford changed their dining hall policies during my year (2019). Grad students can only eat at Arillaga dining hall now (which is the last dining hall shown in the video). Hope this helps!

yes!!!! they also have indian food! I believe every Sunday dinner at the dining hall call FLOMO, they specialize in it :)!

@@sundarkaddu5272 you can eat as much as you want :)) Just think buffet style! The only time limit you have is when the cafeteria closes hahahaha. I forgot what the dining hall times are but let's say for example the dining halls are open from 12pm to 1:30pm. You can eat as much as you want in that timeframe.

@@KelseySry last question promise, but can you take foods with you in your dorm room or parcel them if you are sick and dont want to eat at that time? 🤔 i am a very foody person, damn all my questions are related to foods. 🙈🙉🙊

@@sundarkaddu5272 hahaha no worries! I really like when people just comment on my videos rather than private messaging b/c a lot of people have the same questions looool. By commenting, I truly believe you are helping out incoming students!! Yeah! When I was at Stanford, they allowed you to take your food to your room. The only problem dining halls had with that is that some students never returned their dishes LOL. So I think every year Stanford loses a lot of money from never getting their dishes back. I've brought a lot of food back to my room b/c I didn't have time to eat since I was so busy with classes. A lot of my science classes were at lunch time so I just left the food in my fridge.

omg hahahahahaha, no worries, there's plenty of other diff types of food at Stanford. The menu switches around often. If anything, I feel like there wasn't enough Asian food haha. A lot of Asians went off campus (like a 20 min drive) off to Cupertino or Mountainview for asian food hahahaha.
