I just love Albanian Music, specially traditional music(communists fostered and sponsored traditional music a lot), but this blasting pop of Ramiz Alia's time was something absolutely new to me. Thanks a lot from Brazil

Very 1970s sounding for the most part. The chorus also sounds quite similar to the bridge of Moskau by Dschinghis Khan. However, you can hear what I presume to be a DX-7 playing bell sounds at around 1:07. Meanwhile, much of the song features an organ, which hearkens back to the 60s :)

It's quite impressing that they made this kind of music. All foreign pop music was banned and forbidden by the regime!

On the ground however signals from the TV channels of the Italian broadcaster RAI could be received in the country with some work that a whole class of antenna specialists emerged in the country for the purpose of getting those signals on people's sets :) Perhaps naturally also most Albanians preferred Italian TV as they found the domestic TV under Hoxha and Alia to be rather dull. The 1973 edition of Festivali i Këngës was supposed to actually be quite Western (RAI)-inspired. However the government subsequently forbade its airing and the organizers were ordered executed, if I remember correctly.

Don’t mind the my mindfuck fellow Albanians sir, everyone knows these girls copied ABBA smartfully and plenty of other musicians took advantage to the ingnorance of massive population to recreate super popular songs of the world in albanian language. There are however plenty of good original albanian songs mostly from 60s and 70s but when 80s hit everyone stole.
