i cant believe there are still people buying this. Apparently if they dont know what the actual flagship brands are they dont know better than iRobot. This is ancient history, dock looks like hell to clean inside and there's no vibrating nor rotation pad, no edge mopping, no flex side brush, small battery, no hot water washing and so on and on.... so behind

decent robot! i think this is better than lidar bots. especially since ai is getting better. the height and the mop lift are why its best

Interesting take! I prefer LIDAR but clearly iRobot sells these so there are plenty of buyers apparently!

Are you sure or paid by iRobot ? Lidar is superb more precise and quicker. Mapping takes couple of minutes to scan average flat. Roobma is mapping 50 square meters for an hour or so. After a month Roomba looks like an soldier after war. Smashed with scars all over the face....the furnite also. After dark it makes even worst because the VSLAM must scan in the daylight. The station is so loud you can compare it to jet plane takeoff There`s no decent mop drying.

Does the smart scrub happen throughout the mopping run or only when spills are detected by the camera? It's interesting to see a unique mop design. It looks like a mop extend isn't needed since the pad looks like a similar diameter to the bot. Since the pad can be taken off, replaced, and machine washed in the event of an oily spill, maybe the hot mop washing is less important? IMO publishing pascals (Pa) is used for misleading marketing by other manufacturers, since these bots rely on mechanical agitation and extraction. Just my 2 cents

Smartscrub happens throughout the mopping run (everywhere) if you turn it on! Yes good observations on the mop extend (although I still wish it had it for corners and under appliances, doors or any other gap/opening near the floor that the vacuum can't get under! Yes PA is marketing material but it is always interesting iRobot does not publish their #'s which leads me to believe they are not very good (even if it does not matter)

hmmmm that is strange... I am not sure what to tell you! Make sure your clean water tank is installed properly and that it is full of water. Make sure you dirty water tank is installed properly then initiate a clean of the mop and see if that solves the issue?

And there's rub - 'it's feeling dated' because it is dated. Why even consider this when so much of the competition is years ahead? Also, big shame the dock's suction motor isn't powerful enough to empty lots of pet hair, let alone small pieces of gravel and sandy particles.
