Me: Goes to sleep at 4. Me without alarm: Sleeps for 12 hours. Me with alarm: Sleeps for 3-4 hours but the beds too comfy so I turn the alarm off and go back to sleep.

When one's young, one can survive on 4-5hrs of sleep. Now, my body automatically falls asleep at 10pm, even when I am in the middle of a intense game

I once pulled an all-nighter when I was 11, and I was not feeling particularly tired at that time. Now, at 21, I cannot make it past 11.30 P.M for my sleep time.

Was a bit worried until she got to the mid-day napping part. As far as I remember that's a bit more normal with what is recommended. I'm very close to the same kind of sleep pattern with 5 hrs at night then maybe 2 during the evening after work.

Just like me, but i still feel tired after that. My ideal is 6-7 hours then 1-2 after work. But I rarely do that.

Yeah, you can get away with less sleep at night if you have a regular schedule of shorter naps during the day. Your brain "learns" to slip into REM sleep faster. But you HAVE to get those naps in.
