Are you telling me...that this hair dye, ACTUALLY truly dyes unbleached hair?!? Arctic Fox only tints unbleached, dark-medium hair.

I've had good results with it so far! No complaints. My natural hair color is more of a dirty blonde, so that may play a big part, but regardless, this turned out quite pigmented. :)

Nadine Cheri Awesome! My natural hair color is medium brown, I would only need to cover my roots. I will give it a try and comment my result when I am able to try it! I HATE having to bleach my hair, so I've been looking for a dye like this that can cover roots so I don't have to bleach my poor hair. (Though, I don't use a true bleach, I use a lightening kit..it is actually relatively gentle and easy on my hair, it's still pretty healthy. But still) Lol. I'm excited to try this brand.

Yes, please let me know how it turns out! I hope you get good results with it :) What lightening kit do you use? I have been looking to get something that won't damage my hair for when I really need to get the color out, but I definitely didn't want to resort to bleach!

Nadine Cheri I've been using 'Clairol born blonde'. It is pretty gentle (especially compared to regular bleaching) and after applying Arctic Fox for 1-2 hours (right after lightning my hair, after it dries) my hair looks and feels amazing. So it doesn't damage hair too bad. But I still want to stop using so much, and only use it when I HAVE to. I prefer to not lighten my hair at all..but different colors are so pretty.. lol it's hard to resist.

Harley Beretta I actually just helped my mom bleach some of her hair and I think that's what we might have used and it turned out nice! I agree with you, though! When I was younger I constantly bleached my hair and since I'm older I am trying to let it do its own thing and do as little damage as possible.

I've never bleached my hair, but I've always wanted to dye it bright colours. My hair is a weird sorta of brownish blonde (more brown though) and is always just a bit too dark for box dyes to fully work which is super disappointing. Everyone has been telling me to get it bleached, but just as I was going to make the appointment this popped up in my recommended!! I'm so happy I found this that I'm going to subscribe, thank you so much!! ♥️♥️

I get the exact same effect with the ombre thing. I never mean to, it just happens. I guess it's okay since I get tons of compliments lol. I'm gonna check out this brand. Ty for this video. You hair is gorgeous.

Zamora Blake I’ve even noticed it with pastels as well which is what I’ve been doing for the last year. I think it’s because I typically apply it to the roots first and the heat from my head really helps it to set in. That’s what I’m going with as to why it turns out like that haha! Even those who work “ conventional jobs”, dye their hair unconventional colors( I’m a teacher with blue hair currently). Most employers and industries do not care about the color of your hair. 5 years ago,yes.

Nadine Cheri Yes I am! I feel like purple is easer to maintain than green. Plus, the green fades much quicker than the purple for me, so it'll be cheaper to have purple hair again 😅

Hmmm I can't say I love one more over the other. I have been using Arctic Fox for almost two years and freaking love it. I just started using Iroiro and so far I love it! It's a tie! I would recommend them both. :)

Thanks, love! Sorry I'm so late replying!! I think on dark hair, it would just be very subtle. In sunlight, it would probably be very beautiful! Unfortunately I don't really remember how much of each color I used, but I know I it was most of the purple, and just small amounts of the turquoise and even smaller (probably a drop) of the black!

Does this dye take well on gray hair & im allergic to dyes with PPE it doesn’t have any so will i have a reaction is my question…I’m gonna try it & come back with my findings

I can't speak to how it is on gray hair. It'll be based on how well your hair takes color. If you have been able to color your gray hair previously, then this will most definitely work on it, especially if it's a lighter gray. As far as a reaction, I did not have any issues, but I don't have any type of allergies (that I'm aware of). The best thing is to do a patch test as they always recommend and see how your skin reacts. But if you try it, please definitely fill me in on the results! 🤗

How long did the dye last? And how often did you wash it?

Sorry I missed this! :( It's been awhile since i've been on here. These dyes last/are vibrant for at least a month and a half in my hair. But my hair will hold color for like 3 months when it fades out to whatever the base color is. Because my hair is super dry, I can really only wash my hair once per week in the Winter, in the Summer it's usually 2 times. And then I will use dry shampoo in between washes. Hope this helps!! :)

If you do any kind of like bluish color, you may end up with faded out green. This was so long ago so I wish my memory served me better. 🙈 because I ended up bleaching my hair super light and from all the colors I had done in it, I was left with some funky shades the first round or so of bleaching. So if you go with ang color, do something that if it fades will look super pretty like a pink or purple. And it should work in your shade of hair if you weren’t trying to go any lighter 😄

Did you have to deal with any staining on your back or tub when you washed it out?

I'd recommend wiping the color up as soon as you can if it gets on your tub or sink. If it gets on one of these surface and sits a while, you just need to use some bleach and that usually does the trick. It has slightly stained my skin, again, if i didn't wipe it off right away, but honestly goes away within like a day or two. Hope that helps!

RAT owo I’m not sure what you mean. If you mean that your hair never goes back to the color it was before coloring, it should, however I’m constantly dyeing my hair that I hardly give it much chance to fade all the way before coloring again. But when I have, it usually fades almost out. It all depends on how often you wash your hair, heat styling, and the type of products you use on your hair. I don’t wash my hair a lot, nor do I use heat or any products with anything that will fade the color. I hope that helps!

That is a good idea! Mixing black in makes it super dark, but you still catch a hint of the blue or purple! :)

I just wanted to make sure because for some dying their hair is a huge commitment and I know if it doesn’t turn out it could be devastating. 😆 What I would do is do a test patch on your arm. Leave it on for a bit and then wash off and see if it has a reaction within the next day. I think there’s actually instruction on the bottle suggesting that. Because it’s a plant based formula and supposedly does not have any chemicals, you shouldn’t have issues but definitely do the skin test first 🙂

How bad does it bleed?

IKayIRin honestly with these dyes, bleeding isn’t an issue. As long as you get all of the dye out when you first color it, you’re fine! Also you will see some color run in the water as you wash it, but that goes with any semi permanent dye. But as far as getting on anything just by touching my hair, I did not experience that 🙂
