5years on and J love your vid! I have a 2003 (heritage) 883 sportster that I put Vance & Hines short shots on, it took a bit of doing as they were meant for 2004 inwards! Anyway took the baffles out and run it like that ever since! Long live ‘loud pipes saves lives’👍

Hi there! Charlie from the UK here, live your vid, just wanted to let you know that I have a 2003 XLH 883 sportster (Centenary model) I’ve owned her for about 11 years. It didn’t take me long to replace the stock exhaust with Vance & Hines staggered short shots and very shortly after that removed the baffles, love the sound! Put a ‘heavy breather’ air intake and forward controls, she may be small but I can throw her around like a sport’s bike! Keep making great videos mate look forward to watching them👍

Wicked bike 🤟🏼 Iv got same pipes on my 48. If I remove baffles, will it need turning again ?

Without baffles sound is irritatingly loud. I prefer with baffles- sophisticated loud sound.

I prefer no baffle with that nice crackle on deceleration

So is it tunned or no ? I’m getting short shots but don’t know if I should tune it or not
@rkjer4 жыл бұрын
Debating ordering this setup. Did you loose torque with these pipes
@robsavage68764 жыл бұрын
rkjer they say you don’t need a tune unless you’re gonna add an Intake but I highly disagree.......I have been running these for 3 weeks and yess they are loud with the baffle but I get tons of decal pop and backfire.... so you definitely need to get an auto tune for this thing so expect an extra 300-400 dollar expense.......

I have the same bike, 2018 iron 883 all stock as of now. Got the arlen ness monster sucker on order. Can you point me in the direction of where you got your bars, cables, and everything I would need?
@WRXGarage5 жыл бұрын
Austin Vail What's up man. The bars are 12 inch Todd's cycle stripper bars with a 3.5 inch riser. If you go to your local Harley dealer and tell them you want those bars with the riser they will get you the right cables that you need for your bike. The cables they set me up with were from LA choppers I went with black braided cables for an extra 100$ they look a lot cleaner.

@@WRXGarage Okay thanks! Like the look of them a lot. Sounds like a beast with the short shots, those are probably what I'll end up getting!

Austin Vail It's definitely the way to go. The short shots are 100% worth the money I shopped for months looking at exhausts they sound the best and loll the best on that bike for sure. If you want the sound that you hear in our video you're going to want to take the baffles out that's what gives it that throaty sound. You're going to lose some back pressure but when you tune the bike there's an option for no baffles. If have any questions let us know.

The bike looses torque after removing the baffles and destroy your air filter faster than normal.
