Iron Age querns

What stone was used for the rotary querns?, the only readily available stone where I live is sandstone or limestone.

Granite is often used, limestone or sandstone would wear away too quickly I think

Both are suitable, they just don't last as long. Iron Age teeth show wear from stone dust in the diet.

How many times does the grain have to be ground to produce effective flour please?

Once parched, dried, an hour to an hour and a half. You keep putting it through until it is flour.
