I purchased one of these receiver mount systems and Disk Harrow, About 2 hours for the put together. I have a Polaris General 4x4 1000cc ATV. I carried this out to my hunting club and tried it out, First day I was using it in one of our fields that had been bushhogged, grass was about 6" high. field was about quarter acre. The Disk was doing really good , seemed to do better in turns and weaving side to side ....after about an hour on this field I noticed that something wasn't quiet right...upon inspection the bolt holding one side of the disk Harrow together came off. Lost nut and lock washer somewhere out there. Loaded it up and carried it home. When I put it together I used a big wrench to tighten...should have used an impact driver and lock tight. The second time I did it right. The next weekend at the club I finished the field and started another. 30 min in on the second field I heard a odd ping sound. When I checked everything I noticed that I had broken two bolts on the receiver mount system . So I learned that side to side and sharp turning puts to much stress on the bolts. Loaded up and carried it home. I went and purchased extra bolts, lock washers , washers and nuts for the lift system. I also was made fun of by some of the guys in the club for the side to side sharp turn disking...but have never used a tractor and didn't know that straight and slight turns were good...sharp wavy are bad....Lesson Learned The next weekend disking fields that were sprayed and the grass was dead and thin...this did a great job, I have the disk set at 15 degrees, only the outside two disks on each side actually cut up anything ...just have to make a bunch of passes...but this thing does a really good job...if you have ever driven a real tractor with a disk...you will not make the mistakes I did. I would suggest getting/making a t-bar to go into the receiver mount on back side of the Disk Harrow to use to install chisel plow (3) pts that will plow the gap that the Disks miss. Long story short...when you put together use impact tool on the Disk Harrow & LOC-Tight on the bolts. Buy about 4 extra 4" bolts and washers and lock washer and nuts....just to be on the safe side...Cut straight lines , pick up and get straight drop disk down and go....You will love it!!

I gotta say that even bigger tractors are humbled on certain soil jobs. If you don't mind making many many passes then have fun.

Oddly enough I was in awe of watching this video. It makes you want to get out and do everything that you saw him doing in the video with the equipment that he had 👍

I have been thinking about how to level my ten acres in Liberia but with ideas I don't need a yellow machine. For the trees storms men power available. But the question to you is which atv is best and easy to maintain for farming
@jowvidal1 Жыл бұрын
ma man any atv thats 300 cc and above but i would recommend a 500 cc. good brands are honda, kawasaki and polaris. For Liberia, i would recommend brands like honda and kawasaki if the parts are common there. Goodluck..

Observation: 3320 Deere and Rzr owner. I laugh at quads trying to plow snow. They bend them like pretzles and generally fight each task. But quad people are hard headed and deem to have something to prove. ∴ they will sell these gimick attachments to the camo-culture. No actual work will get done but they will be easier to tolerate on the loading dock at work.

Great product. I think it would be cool if maybe there was a adapter of some sort to be put on the quad to maybe make it to where you can put stuff on the front and back without having to unbolt stuff and not what like the broom and scraper blade would be nice on the front to but overall great product
