I'm really happy for the Iron Dames. I'm a big fan of this project. I'm particularly pleased for Rahel, whose career I've been following since her time in the DTM. Hopefully there will be more to come from the girls.

Frankly the only lucky part I see was their teammate Iron Lynx #60's third driver couldn't participate. He was supposedly sick they said at the beginning. If it wasn't for that team forfeiting the girls would have came 2nd. Regardless they worked their tail off all year so being the strongest team at the end and to finish it in P1 that's what this is all about. It's a win. Congratulations. I am sure they will continue with more next year.

So to downplay the achievement of the ladies is very pathetic and ignorant. As if nobody had ever benefited from someone else's retirement before...

Yes he does seem to have that approach. I like the idea the women won the race and I am happy for them. This is an endurance race with its own set of rules. I personally would have loved to see the #60 Iron Lynx finish what they started because they had a good lead on the #85 Iron Dames but the bronze driver couldn't finish the race because he was until for the task so the team forfeited. In that sense, the Dames were given that win because a healthy car with a lead on them couldn't finish. It's endurance racing though. Endurance for mechanics and electronics and the human standpoint. Thus yes the girls did win this one fair and square. That aspect of it I seen as respectable. That D Station crew had good pace too but they screwed up with 35 minutes to go working too hard.
