The arguments between Xaddy and Violin is absolutely unbearable. I nearly quit reading because of it. I really hope Violin drops his ass next book but I doubt it. Anyways, you could review the Assassin’s Blade/ Throne of Glass series since you’re on a roll.

this is an awesome summary. i tried reading iron flame and made it to the graduation of the cadets chapter before i got tired of the book, and started skimming through. i didn't like how violet and xaden seemed to argue a lot throughout the book too. i feel like the plot of iron flame is slower compared to fourth wing.

This was so hard to follow with all the name changes. Throwing in the game of thrones. It ended up being so confusing that I had to watch another one to show someone the plot. You'd often say I dunno about things like Violet keeping secrets, but her need to protect them was a major plot. I get adding humour to reviews, but it would be helpful to not make so many switch ups. Felt like more time was spent trying to make funny jokes than key things that were rushed

Honestly, the romance/smut makes up a small amount in the book in my opinion. Its more about military strategy, secrets, magic and fighting.

Or to put in your words: I thoroughly enjoyed your summary. 🫡 I will say though that I was so over all the relationship fighting in the book that I kinda forgot what Violin‘s problem was. I also found it hard to believe that she just ate up everything that was offered to her.. the baked goods in the kidnapping trial and the lemonade from that old healer. Like come on girly, didn’t you learn that lesson in year 1 by spicing up everyone else’s butterbeers yourself? I hope book 3 will ease up on the drawn out relationship drama fights or I don’t think I’ll continue reading.
