I don't know the video game that well, but I played the model game quite a bit. What was the purpose of the maneuver at the start of the battle with the escorts? With no other units around, if felt like they were just being thrown away as there whole fleet could concentrate on them.

A decisive tactical battle Very few losses which is indeed impressive, perhaps you would have lost less if you prioritized the stronger ships while sending small groups hunting the smaller ships Side Note - of course I don’t have the pleasure to play this game, so I wouldn’t have the experience of what may work and what doesn’t This is merely a suggestion
