Obviously, the right answer is that we have ranked sbmm playlists for people like Iron and for people who want to have a sweaty match (I agree they can be fun a lot of the time). We should also have a casual playlist though for chilling if you want.

His point about SBMM at the beginning is spot on; those of us who only get a few hours a week to play *any* multiplayer game shouldn't really have to worry about being in lobbies populated mainly by players who can spend most of their week practicing and playing. Imagine having a couple of hours on a Sunday to go to the park and play football (soccer, if you're in the US) and being forced into a game with semi-pros who play for 4-5 hours every single day *and* who are always on top of the latest expert strategies; how much would you actually get out of that situation? SBMM seems like a reasonable way to give everyone a challenge that's appropriate for them, and while there's always going to be a few experts who want to use noobs for target practice, they're not really losing anything important by being prevented from doing so; meanwhile those of us who will never get to their level get to be challenged in a way that helps us get better if we want, but doesn't force us to think like a brand new army recruit left stranded in the jungle.

I hate how so many other streamers complain so much about SBMM. Iron's attitude towards it is perfect, you should want to play against the best. So many KZbinrs want SBMM removed just so they can stomp on bad players to make their KZbin videos easier. If you ever watch the British KZbinrs stream like Stodeh, Westie, Broken Machine, The Tactical Brit and so on (but not Jack Frags) you'll see how much them complain about SBMM. They literally can't go more then 2 minutes without complaining about it most days. They have a hard time winning games and producing content so they blame it on the game's SBMM and people just using meta weapons.

Hey man - This prob won't get seen - But I noticed your setup section on twitch doesn't state monitor. I presume you are using a 1440p monitor though. Have you tried reducing the resolution slider for an increase in frame rate? You could end up pushing past the 100fps barrier an achieve a *steadier* frame rate which can only be good for the stream. - I play at 1920 x1080 on a 1070 and 8700k - at 100 resolution all settings low and my frame rate is all over the place - Placing the resolution to *93 I achieve steadier frames and boost to way over 100fps in a lot of situations 144+. I have also been able to increase graphics settings to balance the quality displayed. * I do not play with SMAA FILMIC 2X, however I do have AA enabled at the second lowest setting and then the AA slider to 1.0.

@@ericthegreat5887 i know what you mean, but i have not found it to be blurry. At 1080p i find filmic 2x AA to be blurry maybe its just me and my eyes. Obviously i have not mentioned all my settings, but IMO AA settings and the resolution slider made the biggest difference in frames to me. Even after turning on or up some of the bells and whistles. For me its kind of a happy medium. My 1070 lacks for this game anyway. So anything I can squeeze out of it 👍

I agree that there should be some tier system or some way to monitor how you've progressed in the game. The biggest downside to SBMM, imo, is that while you are getting better -- considerably better, even -- It doesn't feel like you're getting better because the lobbies just keep getting more difficult. So it can be hard to tell if you're getting better and playing in better lobbies or if you're still at a low skill-based lobbies.

Dude... totally agree with your little Timmy analogy (which is me lol). I have this game but have yet to play it because streamers like you would be constantly slaying my ass. Lol. They should set up some kind of basic two class system where intermediate and advanced players can be allocated to. The criteria can be based off certain (TBD) stats already kept within the game to help prevent pro level people entering the intermediate "realm", and vice versa. It's not a perfect solution of course, but it would be better than what currently is; as you described re: Little Timmy. It would at least be a good start.

I'm glad to see that you don't shy away from sbmm. Hearing a lot of the community complain about it because they just want to steam roll the lobby is not that entertaining. Most are upset that they can't get 30 plus kills in their lobbies and the fact that the unskilled has to go against these skilled players, who usually are grouped up with their cracked bros, doesn't seem right. To me, it feels more rewarding to be tested and if I over come the obstacles , its a new skill in the game which makes it more fun as the game progresses. But they do need incentives. And maybe they need to have an unranked mode in mp, so when people don't want to sweat as much they can go play there to relax. anyway, keep up the grind dude!
