Iron Lung captivated indie horror fans upon its release on March 10th, 2022. Since then the game has been lodged in the minds of players for a number of reasons including its atmosphere, story, and visuals. One year on from its release I sat down with the game's developer David Szymanski to talk about the shock hit.

Fantastic mate. I'd never heard of Iron Lung before (probably because the game sounds like my actual nightmare) but I'm mega intrigued to find out more about it

Honestly, Dusk was my first game by David Szymanski I played and I loved it, so when I saw Pyro's playthrough of Iron Lung, I just had to play it!

I've been watching vids on this no stop and now to get the developers thoughts on the game makes it just so much more amazing. This is definitely a game that needs to get more attention and even a sequel because dam it's good.

Iron Lung is my favorite horror game ever (granted, I don't play many horror games). I really look forward to anything in the same universe

I feel like an ending of the player surviving would have been great, but as a secret ending, by going off the beaten path and finding different points of interest that aren't marked, getting the secret good ending by uncovering yet more unexplainable anomalies.

Really interesting interview, loved this video and the podcast. I think the quiet rapture universe and David's games in general are just really interesting so hearing some of his insight on game development was awesome!

When he makes another game in this universe i hope he doesn't confirm that it has anything to do with it, a totally unrelated game that maybe doesn't even include the quiet rapture or explain anything about it, maybe it introduces characters or mythos that play a role but only has the smallest of connections to this game, that'll get the theorists going wild :P.

Because of Markiplier making this as a (theatrical movie? mind blowing!- anyway), this game will go booming as franchise.
