Highschool memory unlocked: I have seen these guys play live near me in the Seattle area when I was 17. I forget where but holy shit I viscerally remember flinging myself around in the pit to Cancer. What an album.

Literally, this record is perfect. Start to finish. Every song. Perfect. “Or Do They!?” Lyrically brilliant. Oblique. Raw. Direct. Powerful. This record was as close as it got to their live set from that period. So much sound from two earthlings. Very, very kind. I hope they are happy. I wish them joy. Lars- (once, at Murda-Dub warehouse OAKLAND, I saw them with a bassist.) (“Selling out” sounds PRETTY FUCKING GOOOOOOD!) -was shouted. The DENSITY of sound; A: basement… B: cozy sauna C: familiar faces T: nearby Guadalajara truck Was PUNISHING. (This is it… this is…). I think the band they were in tour with was from Italy. No photos from that night. I can’t recall the lineup. Maybe Helms? And Waifle? No!…. Acts of Sedi… no wait IWKYF… no, but they were both there… damn… I’ll have to ask Groundswell…. Or Cole…. (I really need to organize my Handbill collection.) (This record is so well built) so intensely intentional. Relentlessly unrelenting. “Cold. Ruthless. Raw. Lifeless.” So pretty. Seeing them live was a strange combination of luck and intention. What make sense to me would/shouldn’t/ might/ can’t make sense to others… yet… I wasn’t alone… was I? Trust your instincts. They may not be popular, but they are yours. Trust little else. Disappointment comes to those who put faith into outside opinions. Limbs burn with disease… Or, Do they? Lars

would give anything to see Jensen on the kit

@@tuff1uck Jensen also played in Walls, with August(Lords of Light), and two other musical workhorses(Retirement and Society Nurse). I loved seeing that live. Walls was brutal.

Sick band. That Blinko artwork rules. Lingua Ignota covers Sexless // No Sex. Check it out, it's so different yet great.
