C'mon its the same old shite. It's almost an almagation of two songs on the previous album. Same key, same chord structure, very similiar melodies, blah blah. I am also a lifelong fan but i wish to god they'd trying something different.

Nice melodies indeed, but personally I'm not a fan of the guitar and vocals doing the same melody simultanously along with each other. It's too much and sounds kind of cheezy, not necessary for the song. They started doing that thing alot since The Book Of Souls record. What's your opinion on this?

@ippopaidi
@ippopaidi 2 ай бұрын
don't get your hopes up for any further recovery ... what came back the first 3 months, after the stroke is what'll ever do.. It's all downhill from here due to age ... Can't even hear most of his right hand side crashes ... He can't even do a drum roll or the (already simple) Maiden fills ... He should have made the right decision and retired gracefully, not wait and see if the band would have him... They love him too much and I'm sure they wouldn't tell him to leave ... Which would be the right thing to do.. now they'll only play what Nicko still (somewhat) can ... (Depriving fans from possibly hearing fast paced favorites)

I love Nikco and will always support him he's keeping tempo and beat and honestly thats all that really matters for drummers, yeah u can be flashy and have amazing fills (ofc he has had that thats why he my fav and he's just someone to look up to anyway, loved him from a young age) but just praying he gets better even if not it will still be epic asf to see him and the rest of the guys playing live being in there 60s and 70s!! I couldn't agree more. Absolutely. I used to be such a huge Maiden fan in the 80's and early 90's. Count me as one of those people who can't stand it when they write songs like this. Ever since Janick Gers joined, there have to have been like 20 or 30 songs that sound like this. This is NOT (at all) what Maiden used to be. I wish that when Adrian Smith returned, they thanked Janick and sent him on his way. He's the sloppiest by far of the 3 guitarists. Speaking of which... you don't even NEED 3 guitars. It buries Steve Harris' bass in the mix. They give Adrian (who is their best guitarist)'s solos to Janick live - and he butchers the shit out of them. God... I cannot STAND him being in this band. It's just not the same. Getting back to the tempo and feel of this song... It bores me to tears. These songs like this one that they write all the time now all feel like I'm at a medieval banquet and people in puffy shirts are prancing around in circles like imbeciles. It's obvious that you are not musician. You need 3 guitars if you want to play songs like "Caught Somewhere in time", "Rime of the ancient mariner", "The Trooper", where there are 3 guitars doing different harmonies beetween them like original recordings. Maiden were awesome. Probably the best sound mix I've ever heard at a live gig, it was incredible and an amazing performance. The crowd was lame as though. Not the real fans who pushed to the front and went for it, they owned it. But I was at the back of the floor, and just loving it and taking it in and observing, and I reckon 80% of the crowd had no clue, they knew none of the words, no clue when to chant or sing along, it seemed like they didn't even know any of the songs. Weird as. I reckon most of the people were just ticking the box, or clueless. (I get that there were people in seats up higher with kids and stuff just chilling), but the floor? There was at least 20 scumbag losers just lying on the floor around the bar area, whinging about random shite, and people pushing through the crowd like they were getting a train, going in and out, like they had no idea that probably the greatest band ever, in the history of music, were actually playing, right there, it was so weird. I saw them on the Fear of The Dark tour at shitty Festival Hall in '92 (deep in a recession when $ was tight), and I swear everyone in that building sang every word, to every song, and was glued to their performance for every second, because they knew how cool it was. Maiden were awesome and I had a great time, but as the tour goes on and people see footage from North and especially South America, it may become apparent that Melbourne and possibly Australia as a whole, is an irrelevant self-entitled shi..hole. But Maiden were astounding and their show was cool as, I'm truly honoured to have seen it 😊

@@vikingoverlord857 They were good mate. I liked the second show better, probably because I didn't work that day, but both nights were good. I felt like the crowd really got into it, especially for songs like Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, Wasted Years, etc. I ended up being sardined at the front about 20m from stage, but that was alright. People tend to leave you alone when you rock out like a mad man and give you your room! This song is a highlight for me though, and I have a newfound respect for Death of the Celts after admiring the musicianship that went on. We're really lucky to have seen them so often in the last 15 years after not seeing them at all for the previous two decades or so.

@@stormster6644 That's awesome to hear! Good to see Sydney got the job done 😀 Indeed, when you are clearly into it people leave you alone, as they should. Nobody came near me lol. And I took my youngest and he freakin' loved it. Maiden had one of the best sound mixes I've ever heard, it was amazing, and they were amazing. My only regret is not going to see so many other tours, but that's life, and I saw them again ☺ I familiarised myself with the new songs in the weeks leading up to the gig, and they were super cool songs they chose. Senjutsu is solid as, amazing really. I like tonnes of different music, and heaps of heavy stuff, but the gig the other night reminded me that Iron Maiden are probably the best band ever to exist, and they've always been there for me, and I feel privileged to have seen them again 🙂

Give up the boring intros and outros on every single song. Maiden were untouchable when they kept it to 5 minutes now they are boring as f&^%

@@Addicted-2-Guitars - agreed. This song SUCKS. I hate that they now write a million songs like this every album. Boring. Repetitive. Same old song that they have tried to sell us a million times over the last few/several albums.

@@BanjoSick - I agree 100%. Politely thank Nicko for years of good service, wish him well, and replace him with someone who can keep up. And, while they're at it... for the love of GOD --- kick Janick Gers to the curb. He should have been thanked for filling in and handed his walking papers the second that Adrian Smith came back. Good GOD, he sucks. 🙄
