Today I was made aware of a press release from Dead By Daylight that was covered on this Japanese website. They talk about the new Tome Anguish and the Lunar New Year outfit for the Skull Merchant for the Year of the Snake. But they also talk about cosmetics that are coming out in February! I’m disappointed there’s no Lunar event, and am I mistaken in believing we had one at one time that involved lanterns or lamps? Why not do a simple event where we earn cosmetics for it? I’m also disappointed in the rift because Kate still hasn’t had one, yet Thalita has, and some have had multiple ones. The Jane one is odd with the floating pink ribbons… 🤔 I’m sad that the skull merchant got that cosmetic that’s better than 95% of survivor ones, and since when did she have long silver hair? 😅

As a Skull Merchant player, despite her nerfs, I still get 4Ks. And no, my build isn't the Chess Merchant. Instead, I look at the cosmetic design and create a build based on that. Skull Merchant is a Tactical Killer according to her lore, so I try to do that. I'm looking forward to making a snake build for her Lunar cosmetic.

There’s atleast 2-3 events a month, whether that’s double XP or double/triple Bloodpoints or 2v8 or Chaos shuffle and Lights out and holidays and~. There’s more event weeks than there is default DbD weeks now amazingly :) They could’ve easily fit lunar new year in between Chaos shuffle and 2v8, I miss the red envelopes floating around 🧧. *they also went away from the cool names like Moonrise burrow and Striped tiger label on the cosmetics to being Lunar new year 2025 as the label

I loved the lunar new year events. My zodiac is snake and i always looked forward to the event cosmetics, last year not having one was kinda disappointing but at least they made cosmetics for a surv. This year only killer is sad, even tho i love the design and played skully before the last changes - but now its just a waste of money, i rather wait till next year and see in what state she is and if i want to play killer at all. Also, in the newsletter (ingame mailbox) they wrote "enjoy the cosmetics for skull merchant AND Haddie" - seems they scrapped it sadly. The tome however is absolutely slayin 😅 exactly my taste, not my fav survs but i like Thalita and Yun Jin a lot, definitely going to play them more. The color pallette is beautiful and i hope the deep rift stays red a while, blue was fine but changing is refreshing^^ Hope for a dark green one day 😅 Finally, really happy they can give iron maiden shirts to the newer survs, always thought it would be a good fit for Sable and Taurie looks so good in it. And Sable finally gets black hair with goth style bangs! Ok, in a costume but at least its a good looking one 😅

You asked as the end of the video, so ill answer some more questions for ya lol... I DO have fond memories of previous Lunar New Year events and this one seems quite tame and lame by comparison. The snakehead badge is plain looking and awful, ill never equip it. The bp reward is meh, they give bp away like its going out of style. But ill take those shards, im always saving for new skins. The tone of the tome doesn't bother me hahaha gotta have some variety in there and this way the Iron Maiden crossover is less obtrusive as it kinda of fits in with the game now. Those new skins coming look amazing. The Red Riding Hood especially. I barely remember last years March Bloodfest event thingy, all i remember is collecting weird blood balls and not having fun with the event. It doesnt seem like a decent replacement of the Lunar event

I miss this event. I liked the community challenges and collecting envelopes in match. They could at least bring it back for a week only. Anything is better than the standard version of DBD (I already miss Chaos Shuffle) 😂 About new Rift and skins... Im not a big fan. I'll paste here what I wrote under another vid: "I know I’ll sound like a weirdo, but for the first time in a very long time, I don’t like the skins in this Rift. They’re just average. The killer skins are definitely better and look way cooler than the survivor ones. The only good change is that we finally don’t have a "deep blue Rift." But I don’t like the purple eyes on survivors, I don’t like skins with bright, Fortnite-like elements (yes, I know these kinds of skins have been in the game for a long time, but at this point, it feels like a trend rather than a once-in-a-while thing), and I don’t like the increasing amount of nudity. Also, I don’t get why the Rift is for Jane, considering, as far as I know, she already had her own Tome in the past. Now that I think about it, Tome 21 was at such a high level that maybe that’s why I feel somewhat disappointed with this Rift, I dunnoooo. End of rant, have a good day"
