All three are absolute masterpieces ✨ Senjutsu is the first time that I, as a fan in my 20s, have been disappointed by a new Iron Maiden record. Many lackluster songs and probably the worst production the band have ever had. I would be fine with 2-3 songs from that album as long as they make due with Somewhere In Time 😅🙏

Steve Harris says, “Following the release of our latest album, Senjutsu, we updated the current Legacy of the Beast Tour a little by opening the show with the first 3 songs from it, with the Japanese Palace stage set. As it doesn’t make a lot of sense to repeat this for a Senjutsu album tour, we thought about other options and we’ve decided to revisit Somewhere In Time as that tour didn’t feature in the various retrospective history tours we’ve played over the years. They were based on our 80’s concert videos and sadly we did not film that tour (blame the manager!!). We have had lots of requests from fans over the years for many tracks on it so we are now going to play them, plus of course a few others we know you will like! It will also be particularly satisfying to finally get to play some of the more epic tracks on Senjutsu, it's been a long wait! 2023 is going to be an exciting time and we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone again in the UK, Ireland and around Europe”.

They will bring it to the US eventually. However, don’t get your hopes up for Alexander the Great. They’ve never played a song on a later tour that wasn’t played on the album tour. My initial thought is that it will be Caught Somewhere in Time, Wasted Years, Stranger in a Strange Land, and Heaven Can Wait. Possibly, but unlikely, Sea of Madness. However, since CSIT might be difficult for Bruce and Nicko at this point, I see that as a possibility to bring in Alexander the Great since it’s a bit slower.

@@jerseytiger1980 I agree…CSIT is a tough song for Bruce and Nicko at this point. And Steve is very stubborn…it’s clear he doesn’t like ATG much and has resisted playing it all these years. I’ve never gotten the fascination with that song myself so I could take it or leave it. I would think Wasted Years, Heaven Can Wait, and Stranger in a Strange Land are almost all certainties. I personally love Deja Vu but that song is never talked about.

@@keefriff99 I don’t get the love either, but when I was a much younger fan I did really enjoy it. As a song it’s not that great, but would be cool to see live after 35 years of a very vocal minority begging for it. I’d be all for Deja Vu, but I think that’s another one that they never played live. I’m most hyped for Stranger in a Strange Land, but also torn. It’s my favorite from the album, and top 10 overall, but I was at the NYC show that it was last played on Ed Hunter Tour, and for some stupid reason I like saying that, lol. As cool as this concept is I have a feeling it’s going to be disappointing unless they play 1 or 2 SIT deep cuts like CSIT, Sea of Madness, Deja Vu, or Lonliness of the Long Distance Runner. I could leave or take Heaven Can Wait, and Wasted Years has been played to death. With playing the epic Senjutsu songs, and the staples like IM, FOTD, Trooper, NOTB, and HBTN I don’t think there will be more than 4 SIT songs, 2 of which have been played a bunch over the years. Maybe they will make up for that and bring back the inflatables!

It’s annoying that Maiden always teases “deep cuts” but then plays…Wasted Years and Heaven Can Wait. As much as I love WY (not so much HCW)… c’mon, they’ve been played fairly recently. Hardly novelties at this point. So at the most we’ll get 3 deep cuts off SIT (if you consider SIASL a deep cut) which is still pretty great.

Of course that will be along with the "usual" 5 or 6 classics that they always play...

@@raphaelvieira3752 Cara, pra mim foi exatamente assim, tava a 5 cabeças do palco mundo no rock in rio 22, o Bruce vinha na lateral do palco, mais perto da galera, e eu só conseguia pensar, "pqp mano, o iron tá tocando nesse nível e eu tô testemunhando isso tão perto," cada eddie que aparece, passa um filme na cabeça de toda vez que você escutou um álbum desses olhando pros desenhos, pra quem tiver lendo isso, vai e tenta ficar o mais próximo possível, vale todo o desconforto ser testemunha do quanto esses caras fazem um espetáculo lendário.

I first saw Maiden on the NoTB tour and I was hoping for a tour where they would play Senjutsu in its entirety but I guess this is the second best thing. It's our chance to hear Alexander the Great for the first time...!

Saw maiden my first time at 16, in 1996, with Blaze. In one month I'll take my seven year old daughter to her first maiden show in Antwerp - at her request. Great to be alive in the age of Iron Maiden! I do hope The Parchment will be played, it's her preferred song :p Greetings and thanks for the good fun!
