Doesn't matter how many times I've see this, either in the flesh or on film, it never gets dull or ordinary! As soon as you hear the first note of Doctor Doctor, you start getting the goosebumps!! And I just love the way they still burst out onto the stage!! Greatest band there's ever been! Thanks for sharing LA with us! Up the Irons!!

They're so freaking good, gods, it doesn't matter what set list they decide to play. You go to see Maiden live is just a unique experience. I have been very lucky to see them several times. Every concert was unforgettable. I know they will stop playing at some point and that day will be one of the saddest in my life.

I was on a community college football team in Los Angeles and Long Beach Arena hired the football players for security. When Maiden played at Long Beach Arena, I worked frisking at the front door and then they moved me behind the drum set. Just before Maiden took the stage, drummer Nicko McBrain asked me if I could keep checking on and filling up his drum stick holder. He had a cylinder container with sticks. So I did for about an hour and then they moved me to another location. Their drummer is a nice dude. Also did security for Metallica when they opened up for Ozzy at Long Beach Arena. Lars Ulrich puts green medical tape on his sticks. Two half inch strips on each stick near where he holds the sticks.

I know Long Beach Arena isn't somewhere people seem to play any more but can't help think that on the next tour at least one night there might be cool, since it's their 50th Anniversary.

Next time I go I need to get a photo of me with standing in front of it, LAD (vinyl) in my hands, gatefold open. Growing up in a tiny village in rural England that place and that show seemed like the biggest venue, the biggest show ever. If Maiden played there again this tour, I'm comin' over!

I saw my very first concert at Long Beach Arena - Black Sabbath on their Sabotage tour in September 1975, supported by Ruby Starr and Grey Ghost. It was an absolutely life changing (and deafening) show! I remember it having much better acoustics than the Forum, slightly smaller and more intimate. A fantastic and legendary venue indeed!

I’ve seen maiden 4 tours in a row, Piece of Mind (‘93), Powerslave, Somewhere in time, and Seventh sign. They never disappointed. I not up on the idea for this tour’s setlist. I hope the audience isn’t bummed about the glaring omissions in the setlist.

Since they do not live off of old hit music only (like most bands) there are no omissions. This setlist is as epic as anything! Alexander the great, Death of the celts and Hell on Earth are insane to do live in the same set. This is a perfect set and it flows so well. Seen them in NC and it was amazing!
