I think DC should just focus on making good movies for now, they really tried to make a very connected universe where movies set up one another and everything you’re talking about which resulted in not very good movies such as Batman v Superman and Justice League but when they just focused on making a good movie they made great movies such as Shazam and supposedly The Suicide Squad. It could also be a director issue but I think it more likely Warner Bros trying to rush into being like Marvel.

I wonder if He Who Remains also took this route to ensure the Thanos is defeated and not a threat. Events of Endgame were meant to happen to undo the snap. What if the snap Thanos did blipped a version of Kang that existed in the sacred timeline and He Who Remains needed to bring him back. Perhaps Thanos is a threat to Kang and to He Who Remains plans

In the comics, Kang was absolutely terrified of Thanos. Honestly, what makes daddy Thanos one of the greatest villains ever is his intellect and strength. He's a genius mastermind. This is what scares Kang the most. This is why he tried to avoid Thanos at all cost. So, in the MCU I assume (Kang being worried about Thanos' impact), Thanos' disappearance is the absolute point in time. In conclusion, yes, Thanos was one of the major threats to Kang. However, I'm not sure about the variant of Kang being blipped. 🤔

Even in the comics He who remains is directly linked to Kang as he who remains created the time keepers and Kang (Immortus) was a Variant of Nathaniel Richards. So I can see the precedent of using Immortus instead of he who remains. Agamotto isn't linked to the time stone or kang in the comics. In the comics, the stone isn't even in the eye of agamotto. If anything, they will link Agamotto to the Eternals and the Celestials.

Immortus worked with the time keepers but had no direct connection to he who remains, they combined the characters, they didn't just replace he who remains with Kang. it depends on if they plan to make Agamotto a crucial player in the upcoming phases because if they can't fit him into any of their plans I can totally see them making him a kang variant. I believe they could pull it off.

Planned? I don't know, sounds like quite a stretch. I'm more in the line of "this is the way it had to be, as this timeline is the one that creates the least amount of chaos" which is pretty much what Loki-Kang were all about. Just like the free-will issue, it's not really about that, do as you might, just... only one timeline will actually go on. So those that follow a certain set of actions will survive, they still have free will, they were just lucky enough to follow THAT timeline.

I find it funny that people think that Tony would not have used this time travel technology prior to their jump. It is entirely possible he built his own time travel setup using what he learned before he ever reconciled with Cap... Would have had an infinite amount of time to work out the "sacred timeline" stuff as well as consciousness transfer. Once they have a few lackluster movie releases..... Why do you think that Kang is a variant of the one who remains? I think you should consider that kang once was the conqueror who then grew to the person he was at the end. He knows himself the best and would be able to support himself to develop into the one who remains and create a forseeable timeloop. There is not one time line in the main time line, there are thousands of time lines in the main time line, as long as they all of the same ending Kang will allow to exist. Some of the time lines have Tony surviving and some have him dying. A time line is only trimmed when a time line has a different ending that Kang doesn't want. We know this because in Loki the series, when we see the main time line, we see several strands of white light in the main time line and not just one.

You're leaning pretty hard in every video into "that was Kang, he is *the* evil!" What if that was just Nathaniel Richards, and he was being honest in his motivations? What if he was merely trying to prevent evil variants of himself from existing? Of course, the ends don't necessarily justify the means ... the eternal quandary ... but inaction can be just as evil. If, in other cycles, his doppleganger(s) was/were too skilled and inevitably nullified his attempts to thwart with the aid of others (like the Avengers, let's say), maybe choking the multiverse down was his last attempt before leaving it in the hands of someone (or a pair of someone) potentially more capable than he.

I still love that Strange kept his word to Tony. He said (on the ship) "I will not hesitate to sacrifice either of you" referring to Tony and Peter. Yet he spares Tony's life by trading away the time stone. Which of course dusts Peter in Infinity War (1) and ultimately leads to Tony's sacrifice (2) in End Game.
