How long does it take to fill all the train cars And how much or in weight goes into them?

Thank you for this interesting video. I love to learn about different technologies and systems. I see that the flow of ore temporarily ceases between the hopper cars and then resumes (using the second chute) once the loader has situated itself over the next hopper car. In this system, what is it that temporarily interrupts the flow of ore to the hopper cars? E.G., does only the loader's transverse belt stop or does the entire longitudinal belt also stop? I can understand that repeatedly starting and stopping the very heavy longitudinal belt might create wear and tear on the equipment. If the longitudinal belt does not stop, is there an ore bin on the loader that accumulates ore from the still-moving longitudinal belt during the period when the loader is transiting between hopper cars, and then empties it onto the transverse belt when the loader is over the next hopper car? 13:00 16:16 etc, appears both belts continue and the dump chute acts as a bit of a tipple with the doors closed.

max weight. These gondolas are multi-use, marked for manganese ore, iron, copper, zinc, etc, -- iron ore approx 2322 kg/m^3 so that's half-full.

Why fill a part load? Are there weight restrictions on the railroad there?

Iron ore is very heavy. The load will get to the weight limit before it gets to the cubic capacity limit. Also structures like bridges on the line might have a weight per axle (axle load) limit. Coal trains are filled to the top as coal is lighter.

@@stephenadams595 yes. here axle load is around 25 tons per axle. so they fill around 70 tons in each wagon and every wagon weigh around 25 tons itself.

why not fully loaded like the carriage on the side?

iron ore is heavy that is why. lesser amount is required to reach the carrying capacity of a wagon.
