Love this piece! Now that you mention it, the mud would look much better if it was like the T Rex diorama. I love the Raptors in the kitchen statue. I wish I had go that one before it sold out. Iron Studios does a good job recreating scenes. I love the Final Scene diorama.

I agree, they do very good scenes. Some pieces are better than others but deff good for the collection. Im glad my wife got me those pieces or else i would never be able to find them on my own.

Really disappointed with the plantation which doesn't match the promo. I liked the back reaching up high above showing depth, background etc. Which drawn me into this statue. Taking this away isn't great at all. A shame, as the rest turned out well. Will wait for possible sales because of it. If not, do without. But thanks for showing as always 🙂

I dont blame you, personally i really like this one but waiting for sales is a good idea. Thats what i plan on doing with their 1/20 scale gennaro piece when it comes out. No way in hell im paying 1k for that, not worth it. And thanks for your support! Glad you like the videos

@@firstnerdontheright opinion is only subjective and the movie with the plantation would benefit a lot of people. Just silly me! 😂 But agree, I'd like the delorean iron studios but that's silly money. Need a large sale for that one for sure!

⁠​⁠@@greatwhite2860that is very true! We all have our opinions and we all see things other may not. Could it have been better with vegetation? Sure! I also would like a better base too but it is what it is. And ive seen the delorean’s hefty price tag 😮, same as the batmobile. Wayyyy to expensive for something like that. I remember the jurrasic explorer was 500 when it came out. Why is someone going to pay double for a different vehicle of the same scale? You can get a bigger hot toys version for less. Looks just as good if not better too

I have this item on pre-order and I don’t know why since I don’t like iron studios, I just think the concept of this one is so good. After watching your review I think I’m cancelling and just buying the Prime 1 Stygimoloch since it’s only $200 more. It does look better in your review than in pictures but I think the simple undercarriage of the car would just bother me too much lol

Yea i dont blame you, it deffinitely shouldnt look that way and i wish they did it better. I’ve thought about getting the stygimoloch aswell since the price isnt bad but i just dont want it bad enough to pull the trigger i guess.

@@firstnerdontheright Yeah Stygimoloch is really well done just like all of Prime 1 Dinosaurs, but that huge base is the only thing stopping me, just like a lot of their smaller Dinos for that matter, the Bases take up the space that could’ve been there for another statue.

I agree that the base is pretty large for the suze of that specific dino. Still very cool looking. I guess i tend to stay away from jurassic world pieces in general unless they are the blue raptor. Wasnt as big of a fan of this new trilogy as i am the original one.

@@firstnerdontheright yeah I don’t like JWFK related statues either but that Stygi is the only one I want just because it’s a different dinosaur than all the rest (Idominous and Indoraptor are made up so I don’t even think about those). Stygi is BOGO free on Prime 1 right now, let’s go half’s and get one each 😂😂

Hello! And no mine doesnt do that. Yours sounds like it has debri inside of it unfortunately. The good thing is that since its a statue it wont affect anything since it doesnt move. Sorry to hear that!

Nice review, as always👍🏻 I ask you a question: You have a collection with super interesting and very expensive pieces...buying smaller pieces like this Blue or the TLW raptor, don't you feel like you're wasting money on statues that don't stand up to the rest of the collection? I am also a collector of Jurassic Park statues and I have stopped buying "minor" statues (which still have a cost) for years in favor of a more prudent philosophy. Buy only pieces of a certain value and avoid unnecessary expenses. There is the risk of finding yourself full of stuff to sell off as the years go by. What do you think?

Thank you! And yea ive honestly talked to my wife about this many times, the smaller things just arnt as impressive and dont match the rest of my collection. Especially after this recent tiger raptor it has become that much more obvious. Im going to avoid the small stuff from now on aswell. Like you said it becomes an unnecessary cost. Shouldnt buy it just because its jurassic park. Its either big or not worth it. Even in the display case it looks even smaller and out of place next to the bigger pieces. It just sucks when no one is doing big scenes. Its either big museum pieces or small dioramas nowadays. But i am going to become much more picky now too, inflation isnt helping either so ill just invest in bigger more “wow” pieces. So yes, i agree with you on this for sure.

@@firstnerdontheright The most important thing is finding the right direction for your collection. I love the more "static" maquettes and now I only own those. In the past I have had many statues and I have thrown away a lot of money. Now only a few pieces and all maquettes. Giving up beautiful statues like the Prime1 ones, which in my opinion have exaggeratedly large bases (despite being beautiful, especially the TLW diorama). Here, the important thing is to find the right direction and know how to say NO. Also because most of the time after a few years the current statues become "second line"... if you know what I mean. And sorry for my not precise English, but I'm using a translator 😂 I'm from Switzerland

@@Emergencysodadont worry the english translation is very good, i didnt even realize it was a translation. Im glad you found my channel! And for sure, i feel like everyones collection evolves with time as one finds exactly what direction and what form and vision you see for the future. I love maquettes but i dont like only static poses, i always prefer more dynamic scenes than anything and when we finally get one that does both size and function it becomes a top tier piece for me. My trex attack diorama is my number one in my collection and it will be hard to top it since it does it all. TLW diorama that is coming out will easily take number two spot in my collection for the same reason. Those types of statues bring life with then and i enjoy them more. My vision is to have a whole basement filled with amazing jurassic park statues in moducases in one half while having naruto statues on the other half displayed the same way. All big and dynamic pieces that i can enjoy. Slowly but surely ill get to that point while thinking more thoroughly about which oiece is a must have and which i can do without

@@Emergencysodathe raptor is absolutely gorgeous. Its large with lots of detail and very long. I must have stared at it for at least a good 20 minutes while i was there haha. It was an easy pre order. The parasaurolophus was an easy pre order too, although not as fancy looking its still coming in at about 20 inches which means its a nice big dinosaur statue and i am interested in adding different species to my collection. I love carnivores but i would like other companies to expand more into the herbivores too. This is a great start in that direction. A stegosaurus and brachiosaurus would be some good choices too. And thank you for enjoying my videos! I try to make as good videos as i can.

It deff has presence, its larger than most other iron studios pieces available right now. Im happy with it for sure
