This hurt my brain to watch. Ive maybe gotten to like assertion 2 on ironclad but he is just so confusing. The best gave ive had on him was gettign to 150 hp but when it comes to combos idk any of that

It takes a lot of luck to pull off crazy combos like you see here, and exhaust is tough to learn correctly because who wants to throw their cards away? Takes a lot of practice, and I still lose more runs than I win. Stick with it!

what if you hadn't draw the feel no pain on turn 2?

I think I still would have had the win, but definitely would have taken some damage

Holy crap. I only just beat A0 with the first three characters over the past 2 days there, and I actually managed to get here on A1 as Silent when all I wanted to do was get 10 more points for the second-last unlock. Got too worn down by the weapons, though! But now I'm suddenly struggling to even make it back to Act 2. And then I see this, huh???????? I keep seeing how every run is winnable and the best players get such stupidly high win rates, and this hurts my head. This was 7 months ago, but well done!

Hey thanks for the comment! I'll be honest with ya, I lose so many more runs than I win (I just don't post those to YT as much but there are several on the channel still). Biggest thing is grabbing front loaded damage in act 1. If you don't have any damage cards then the elites are going to tear you up.

@@3hourgames Fair! It almost feels like I completely forgot how to build a deck after that Silent run went so well, as every run after has been a disaster. But I suppose I shouldn't get so hung up on that if it means I stop having fun. It's funny too because Ironclad is the only class I've been able to beat Time Eater with so far, and it was with a deck that had barely any synergy at all!

@@Pamjamelia I've found the same happens to me. When I have a big win I don't keep the momentum, partially because I try to replicate the win I had! It's hard to remember that every run has to be treated completely different because you won't be presented with the same opportunities.

@@3hourgames Exactly. And just because a run is winnable on paper doesn't mean it's feasible for a human who has less than 30 total hours and doesn't have the right deckbuilding ideas to be able to clear it. I know this all sounds obvious, but this is the first roguelike I've been able to get into so I still gotta break some notions I see around the place.

@@Pamjamelia Hey if you've completed A0 with the first three characters in less than 30 hours I'd say that's doing pretty well!

why in God's name is your deck 42 cards XD. did you just start taking every single card once you got corruption dead branch? I feel like guaranteeing you get FNP and corruption in play earlier is way better than having more cards

larger decks help mitigate the effects of status cards and can help create consistency you don't want, say, a 20 card deck in a fight that opens by giving you 5 trash cards, it makes the first few turns a nightmare against the heart
