This little movie called Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior is a favorite of mine when comes to “Ironic Watching”. The CGI is terrible and fight scenes are ok but there no Logan or John Wick.

I usually call these movies "not good but entertaining" And even though I never use it, jelloapocalypse had the simple idea to mirror the 0-10 scale so you get a -10 to 10 scale equivalent to the bell curve you showed

This is such a concise and great description of why JoJo works so well.

I got into MOTU ironically at first, my initial exposure was cultural osmosis and Robot Chicken, but as I started to investigate, it became a much more genuine appreciation. Even the clunky morals of the original Filmation cartoon I find myself enjoying unironically. He-man, despite being an avatar of obscene power, who has the ability to perform legitimately horrifying feats, is still a paragon of virtue, and those morals he and his buddies spout aren't just disconnected silliness, He-man and his pals actually live by these standards, and a few of the morals are things that I think can be overlooked in our modern day media, but which I'm thankful He-man acknowledges directly. Especially since, if you pay attention, He-man doesn't contradict his words with contrary actions, instead, he's super consistent, and emotionally competent by putting his beliefs into words, regardless of how much Skeletor might do, He-man will always save him, and he'll always tell Skeletor that he did so because even Skeletor deserves to live and to have a chance. Some might call He-man stupid for that risk, but He-man is always there to keep Skeletor from causing legitimate damage, even if he's relaxing as Prince Adam, he never lets his desire to just laze around with Cringer as he truly prefers get in the way of his responsibility as He-man to do the right thing and protect Eternia. I unironically think "What would He-man do?" when I'm making a lot of tough decisions, and that fictional, cat loving man who sometimes wears a hero harness with loin cloth, and sometimes wears a pink shirt with tights, has never led me astray yet.

That's what I was saying. People don't realize the genius of Highschool of the dead. At that time I was consuming anime in masses and idk, I just found HOTD so fun and goofy that it was better than anime that took themselves too seriously. I still regret not getting into Jojo earlier, I just got into Jojo in February 2021. Idk what I was scared of. It's a good anime/manga with amazing art, character designs, plot, themes and characters.
