No they Will not burn your lawn no matter what pretty much, I tried doing this weekly and it actually looked the best. Check out my Milorganite test video to see those results!

I appreciate the video - I too love a dark green yard - my neighbors are always asking which yard service I use = Me! No one pays attention to your yard like You do! I too use both of these products and do combine them for a rich dark green yard. You can put tons of milorganite down without worry of burning yard while feeding. And Ironite is excellent both (granular and liquid form) Thanks for this video and dedicating 2 months of updates. takes commitment, right? quick note: if you have tall fescue grass cut to 3.5 to 4" inches. More grass to show off it green flavor!!

technically ironite is not a fertilizer rather, it adds iron nutrition to your lawn, which typically will make your lawn darker green assuming you don’t have too much iron already. Milorganite is a slow release organic fertilizer which can be applied anytime throughout the year and multiple times.

They’re two different types of products. Milorganite is a fertilizer and the Ironite is a mineral supplement. Ironite isn’t intended as a standalone fertilizer product. Use them together if you like. Both are non burning and you can use them in the heat without worrying. Both are awesome products.

I actually do use both. Ironite in liquid form. Great for FL and St. Augustine grass. I live next to the golf course and have to keep their zoysia out of my yard.

Yep that's definitely a popular time to use Milorganite due to it's slow release formula. Definitely don't want to push synthetic fertilizers in the summer heat. This is the best alternative.

This year I wasn’t satisfied with the way the lawn was looking so I threw down Ironite heavy in June between Milo feeding and wow, it is still dark green. As I recall, Ironite recommended a “3” setting for the Scotts spreader but I found I had to dial it up to a 6 to get the particles to flow. They are quite large. Did you find that as well?

Bryan -- ya i was surprised too, definitely a step up for greener grass! Yes the 3 setting didn't shoot out much I agree, since it's mainly iron in Ironite should not be a problem with over applying a bit. I'll be using this ongoing from now on WITH the Milorganite.

I was wondering why my Ironite wasn't flowing out smoothly. I thought something was wrong with the spreader.😒☺ And I then decided that maybe I should raise the settings higher next time...😏 In reading your message I see I wasn't the only one who had the same issues with spreading the Ironite because of the larger particles not getting through. ☺

It’s almost that time of year again! What do you do first in a typical year? Put the weed & feed down or the Ironite? After you apply one, weed & feed/Ironite, how long do you wait before applying the second?

Weed and feed first thing when the ground is thawed out (~40 degrees), then again about a 4-6 weeks later for best results. ironite can be used at the same time or spring and fall for a dark green lawn. I just did my first mowing yesterday to catch up all the winter debris. It's that time! 👍

Yes since they are different products and Milorganite is slow release you can put them all down at once with no issues. Just don't put them in the same spreader application since their granulars are different sizes.

Ironite did nothing for my St. Augustine awhile back. Maybe it has to do with grass type IDK. I will see what Milo does but it is early its been a week since I threw it.

Yes mixing Milorganite and Ironite definitely should result in the darkest green results, that's what I'm doing since this video.

It's never recommended to mix different product in the same spreader application. Just use 2 different spreader passes because they are different size granulars.

Il gonna skip on using both of them. I called milorganite and they do not recommend using both products on the same day. I put down milo today and ill prop gonna use the ironite on July 4th. Thanks for the feedback

If you don't plan on regular summer watering to keep your lawn from going dormant in the hot months, no need to do fertilizer or iron products. Just let it go dormant and put the products down in September time frame.

No, the best way to get rid of moss in the lawn is to put down a lime application to adjust your ph level to proper levels. Granulars are an easy fix for this.

Can you put down weed and feed with ironit on new seed, as I have a crap full of weeds as it was a new lawn that was put in. As I also have clay soil and alot of areas that seed will not take.

Ironite should not be an issue, but you want to avoid weed and feed on new grass until about 2 months to be safe (after 3 mowings of the new grass). I would recommend spot spraying with weed b gon or pulling manually while the grass is still pretty new.

I'm not positive about your Florida fertilizer timing, but I believe most products are restricted in summer months due to the overflowing of products from storms into the drains. In other months it should not be a problem though.
