I love these “behind the scenes “ videos breaking down the actual Ironman experience (especially as T1D). Btw, I am reading the book and the ratio of value per word is the highest I’ve seen in a long time, and I read a lot. Quite confident I’ll be able to complete my Ironman with T1 with your support and coaching

I was at Iron Man in Muskoka but didn't compete because I didn't have a proper bike for it at the time and too broke but that just means I get another year of training in now and I finally have a bike and next month will finish paying off the last bit of debt related to that bike. Maybe next year I'll actually compete although I also have problems with a broken circadian rhythm and schizophrenia so that makes it hard too, hopefully I can pull it off even it means I'm hallucinating and not sleeping, if not the least I can do is if I've figured out the standards for half iron man and full iron man and I'll just do it on my own solo in my city by getting in a pool and swimming the 4k and then doing the 180 km bike ride and the full marathon after and recording it all on Garmin. I do these sports in part because I can do it all solo and it does not matter if it's day or night whereas for some kind of team sport I have to deal with other people and I have to be awake during the right times and it is extremely hard for me to tune myself to doing things according to specific times. This all said I have managed to compete in two sponsored runs so far (Night Sweats) and got through both despite both times having no vehicle to get me to the race so I had to walk or bike there and both times I had already just done a run and other things beforehand because I keep finding out the actual date of the race only hours beforehand and never manage to properly plan around it.
