Unfortunately, every time I’ve seen 60 FPS I film, it does make it seem like it’s really happening. But not in a good way. It makes it feel like I’m watching a soap opera live on set. It makes everything feel obviously fake and acted. It doesn’t let actors disappear into their roles.

I feel like this is an issue with the conversion process. 60fps looks weird for sure, but not nearly as bad out of camera. I think interpolating it from 24fps is what causes a lot of the weirdness

24 to 60 fps works great when the scene is continuous. better approach would be seperating the cuts first, then converting them to 60 and then putting them together. this way there would be less strange jumps from a scene to another.

I think the only thing that kinda hinders the 60FPS render is that whenever they change camera shots in the movie, there's about 3 or 4 frames that look really distorted, my guess is that the tool that adds more frames gets confused when there's 2 different shots next to each other and it tries to "fill in the blank"

every cut in the 60fps one is weird because the program tries to add more frames to connect one shot to the other (I think, I'm no expert) You should have cut the scene shot by shot and make them go individually through the program so that those transitions aren't weird

Well the problem with your opinion is I have to be honest 60fps is good but it just seems to real you know? 60fps looks more a video game rather than an actual real life movie. obivusly not but atleast the action looks more fluid. there is some movies at 60 fps native and looks terrible good.

At 24 fps, I'm seeing Tony Stark suit-up into Iron Man, shooting his energy rays at the baddies! At 60fps I'm watching some expensive CGI. IMO, 60fps provides the brain with too much information and removes the immersion and escapism. At 24 fps your brain "makes-up" the information between the frames which makes the scene more believable.

They tried that with the hobbit and it was a disaster. No one chooses 60fps except to laugh at how bad it looks.
