خلاصة الدرس : جمع الاسماء : مثال :قطة واحدة one cat ◇ قطتين two الجمع = 🐈 cats إما بالنسبه لاسماء التي تنتهي بحرف sh ch so x مثال box جمعه boxes 📦 نظيف في الاخير es مثال watch ⌚ جمعه watches نظيف أيضا في الاخير es. مثال lash جمعه lashes أيضا نظيف es. مثال class جمعه classes.ايضا نظيف es . حالة اخري عندما يكون consonant +y . مثال : city ◇جمعها cities نقوم بشطب على y ونظيف ies. حالة اخرى عندما يكون حرف الذي يتقبل y هو حرف علة مثال Monkey 🐒 جمعه Monkeys نظيف فقط s. إما بالنسبه الاسماء التي تنتهي بحرف o فهي تنتهي باظافة حرف es مثال tomatoes 🍅 =tomato وهناك استثناءات في بعض الاسماء كما لدينا حرف ف Life =lives نقوم بإزالة حرف ف تم نظيف ves وهناك أيضا استثناءات Chef=chefs Chief = chiefs . بتوفيق تحياتي من المغرب 🇲🇦🙋‍♀️

Hello, Tom! Excellent video! I have a question. There is the word 'fishes' in the song 'Longer' : Longer than there've been fishes in the ocean. Why is an ending -es there ?🤔

Sometimes poetry or music gets creative with wording! However, "fish" is typically the plural for fish. In biology, however, "fishes" is used to refer to multiple species of fish. Context matters! :)
