8:15 "IRS installment agreements are required to cover all tax years and all balances due." How difficult is it to negotiate modifications? As an example of what I'm thinking about: The 8% yearly penalty is smaller than my expected yearly ROI from retaining use of that money, to such a degree that the notion of ultimately paying all of my taxes owed plus fifty percent is a completely acceptable arrangement. Even if I'm also adding the next year's taxes-owed-plus-fifty-percent, and the next year's, and so on. My concern would not be whether I could meet the monthly installments, rather how long I can retain use of the money as principal.

Do I have to have a job for them to automatically take out of my check for a payment plan?? or can I let my son in law put money in my bank account and pay them that way??? please help.
