The only thing I would add to this terrific video--before you get in the car to go to Target tell him you are minding the baby and you have to wake him up and take him with you. Then put on one of the screaming, crying baby recordings from KZbin. Shout over the noise telling him no, you don’t have a babysitter, and the baby is always grouchy so don’t pay any attention to him...and that you will keep the line open as instructed. Put your phone near the crying and “ drive” to Target. If he is (amazingly) still on the line by the time you arrive at the Government Approved Store you of course need to bring the baby in with you while you shop for your iTunes cards.

Actually they did call a sheriff before. He revealed it at the last moment, although the scammer didn't want to believe him. These scammers bluff so badly. I don't understand how people get tricked so easily. The police threat is so pathetic. Giving that dumb warning is only telling the person not to answer the door or simply run away. I'd hate to say this, but after a little searching, it's a sad fact that India isn't the only country they call from.
