The House Oversight Committee is holding a hearing on the investigation into President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, on Wednesday. Committee members are hearing from Gary Shapley, a 14-year IRS veteran, and Special Agent Joseph Ziegler, a 13-year IRS veteran, who allege sweeping misconduct in the Hunter Biden tax investigation. In June, Biden agreed to enter guilty pleas for two misdemeanor tax charges that related to his failure to pay tax on more than $3 million in income.

A whistleblower report usually reports unlawful behavior in a Federal agency or by a Federal official. These whistleblowers don't present anything like that. They report their frustration that their investigation was impeded by agency inefficiency and inter-agency conflict. Had the investigation proceeded more directly, Hunter Biden would have been charged years ago. But here's the thing. Complaining about a delayed investigation isn't really a good reason to file a whistleblower report to Congress that the GOP can then hype and embellish to smear the Bidens.

It's kind of hard not to be when someone constantly demands the amount of attention that trump does. Keep in mind they are forced to work with a group of people on the opposite side of the isle who refuse to simply drop the issue of the election and get on with the business of legislation. Look to how the democrats reacted to the bush v gore results, I believe it would be fair to say that in terms of confusion and mishandling, both gore and trumps irregularities were comparable...... But gore promptly conceded, ensured the peaceful transfer of power, and didn't spend literally every day throwing a fit going on tv and other media outlets making sure the nation focused on it. To say nothing of the endless lawsuits. You didn't see die hard gore fans in the Democratic party constantly bring it up instead of focusing on passing legislation to ensure our country ran smoothly. That being said..... I don't want to hear Dems air their grievances about what trump did wrong or anything off topic. I want them to directly address the claims and evidence being presented to get to the bottom of it so we can either make arrests, impeach, or finally drop it. That is literally the point of holding these meetings. So we can arrive at answers, dole out appropriate punishments to quickly get back to debating bills that will make meaningful changes.
