Jeff, first off the Old Craftsman USA locking pliers unlocked similarly ; saved many pinches with them! But more important, get yourself a pair of the Malco Eagle Grips while they are still around. They were made in the Original Nebraska factory, and are Amazing Quality. They have ceased production to my knowledge, as they were pricey, but the quality on the sets I have will stun you get a couple of sets before they disappear, Plenty of You Tube vides on them including a Projecy Farm one You will not regret shelling out the money for them

+1 on the quality. The eagle grips I have look like jewelry. Best chrome plating I have seen on a tool maybe ever, great welds & polish job. Just awesome. I guess snap-on has some needle-nose versions of the eagle grips on sale for now. Those would be awesome but they are like $85.

Those Channel locks are real nice looking! I just bought a set of the Milwaukee vise grips, and have been very happy with those. Oddly, they don't have a release mechanism, but still work great! Thanks for the review on those, Jeff. Much appreciated!

yeah they definitely look like grip-on made pliers. Same epoxy coatings, fastening locations, lock/unlock mechanism, etc. I like my grip-on needle nose locking pliers I have. BEST locking pliers currently available new have to be the malco eagle grip locking pliers though. Its a shame they stopped production, but I have the curved jaw models and they are beautifully made & tested to outperform everything else in a project farm video.

@user-ki3dj9pu9y 3 ай бұрын
They are the same pliers. PS, you can still buy USA made Malco Eagle grips, the company stopped producing them but they are still available because a lot of people don't know about them. They were originally 50 bucks each but if you look you can get them for 25 to 30. And they are far and away the best locking pliers ever made.

Ive always loved Vise-Grips, but always hated that release system. I would venture to say that the Channellock ones are based of the British Mole Grip pliers with the design of that release. They have been around just about as long a the Vise-Grips.
