Yea Seto no Hanayome was so hilarious I was watching it late night and it's one of those shows I got yelled at by people at my house for being too loud. Well that was when we were still in a smaller house with thinner walls. Nowadays I can laugh and be loud at like 3 am and nobody really hears it.

Ash Like Snow by The Brilliant Green is so good. It is one of the openings to Gundam 00 for anyone who wants to know. I would love to hear IRyS sing it as I think she would knock it out of the park.

I remember AZKi having karaoke streams featuring Gundam songs, though. And SorAZ even made a cover of Akatsuki no Kuruma before. Also, Your Gravitation...from My Bride is a Mermaid? I don't remember the song, but dude, I gotta say, My Bride is a Mermaid had been a significant part of my younger years, especially with how much it broke me into laughter. And thinking about Sun and Lunar fighting with their singing voices, I remember a fight between Sun and Lunar turning almost all of their school into shameless groupies who even stripped for their mistresses. XD

Had the series play in the dorm back in college. It was such a good series. A few times we'd literally roll on the floor laughing (almost passing out from laughing too hard.) Slightly related, but Ragna Crimson ep 9... A certain scene gave me immediate flashbacks to Sun's "Fist of the North Star" vision of Nagasumi. And a random thing... Seto Gozaburo's voiced by Kenta Miyake. So thanks to Seto No Hanayome ep 20 I'd imagine All Might/Zangief in a school girl outfit...

Perms can run out. Covers also tend to be separate when it comes to perms and more than likely only for the talent that asked for it. Big difference between it being 1 out of 20 songs sang in a stream to being monetized and the main focus of the content like covers. There can also be conflicting issues with ownership of a song. Bettel for example mentioned Volatire ok’d basically all of his songs for covers except for one because it was not owned by him but some company.

The rules for karaoke streams have also changed quite a bit over time, getting stricter and more relaxed across certain periods. For a while they were strongly considering only allowing talents to sing hololive produced music.

The reason I don't go to karaokes is just that, nobody knows the songs I like lo/ unless I sing the opening of Dragon ball or something (people over here like reguetton, salsa, Shakira and stuff like that)

Listen, I don't wanna yuck your yum, and I love me some anime and game OSTs, but I would recommend at least checking out what's popular/what people around you are into. Music is a good conversation fuel. Also reggaeton and Shakira are fun and easy listens 👍👍

@@thatdarnskag5043 That reminds me of how knowing about Gura's instances of singing The Weeknd songs helped me listen to his music more, especially his Dawn FM album. We have varying tastes, of course, but differences aren't always bad.

I love how much of a genuine otaku IRyS actually is. She 'feels' more honest than a lot of streamers. I hope IRyS regularly sings Japan's unofficial anthem though. That's right; Zankoku na tenshi no teeze.

It’s like when going to karaoke with people under the age of 25 and there is that one person that is a huge fan of the 80s and 90s rock and pop songs! Not that nobody likes it but majority of the people in the group do not know how to fully appreciate the classics as they are into k-pop 🤣

Not that I'd song karaoke without being drink enough to forget most of the night, but yeah I'd be that one person who only seems to pick obscure stuff nobody knows.
