I think the traditional values of a man being a provider has overtime become misconstrued and manipulated in such a way that this is the result. As a woman, I would immediately be turned off if a guy was like “oh do you need money for lunch?” Or “can I send you some money” and I would never accept personally, I think that’s very tacky as a woman to take money from guys you barely know. If we are going out cool you can pay but that’s it. However I will say I get why a guy sending you $30 is unattractive but it has nothing to do with how much lunch costs. Im just being honest yes it’s a nice gesture (although I would not accept it) but it does make you look broke lol I think that’s really why they are upset with it
