People in these comments not understanding that some bikes aren’t built for top speed. These bikes are for comfortable rides and the engines should last a long time as they’re not really being pushed. We can all go buy an old clapped out 2 stroke aprillia that will go 110mph but it won’t be on the road doing those speeds for long.

I absolutely love and agree with your comment here. A lot of people need to understand that rather than chasing horsepower, some rides should be a comfortable relaxing one, and for some people like us that's the only kinda riding. And these do last long. Especially the new J series engines with FI and refinement, I bet they can last a lifetime if taken care of.

This understanding comes from maturity. The comments that I read, where people called it pathetic because of its horsepower seemed like they were coming from someone who just got into college. Realizing what you said is exactly what maturity is.

I have ridden my classic 350 in city,on highways, on himalyan mountain roads, done Himalyan offroads. It's absolutely amazing works just fine.

I see people in the comment section literally have no clue about these RE bikes and yet they compare them for top speed. Compare RE with lightweight plastic body bikes with short stroke 125 cc engine, which gives almost similar milage, which lacks the character and feel and let alone the stock exhaust note which is just a joke on those 125s 😂 These dudes have no idea what a Royal Enfield bike is all about... What a bummer! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nobody talks about how much of a mile muncher these bikes are from Royal Enfield and not a gas guzzler. Despite having a 350cc engine the mileage we get with these 350s is close to a 125-150cc bike.

Totally correct. Hate motorways anyway, so my little classic is my countryside Zen bike, and I love it for that job. 2 years now zero regrets. 55 mph sweet back lane machine

(PS: the bike in my pfp is the RE Meteor 350 i am talking about). People who are saying that 70 mph is too less for a 350cc engine need to understand that not all bikes are about speed only. At least RE is not at all about speed. Plus it's a cruiser and anyone who knows what a cruiser is all about won't care about speed any more than that. These bikes are about a different level of comfort and elegance while driving , especially for long tours . I have a RE Meteor 350 and it's just....❤❤. It's soo comfortable and the looks are just one of their best designs ever , similar to the "old is gold" thunderbird but a little better or you can say broader (and the fact that it costs even less than 3000 pounds here in india is just like cherry on top). I have achieved the top speed of 120/125 kmph (75 mph) on it but even at that speed the balance , comfort and stability you get is unmatched unmatched. Also it weighs around 210kgs(450 lbs) and considering you have a full tank add another 10-15 kgs to it. So (thats around 500lbs just for the bike). So 75mph for a 500lbs bike with a 350cc engine is pretty good you have to admit that at least. Plus the sound is just like music to the ear🤌❤️. And 75 mph speed for a cruiser in that price range is also a pretty good deal guys.

*Who says 20HP isn't enough? Just imagine, 20 horses are pulling your cart in the urban/rural roadways at a constant speed of 40mph all round the clock. After all, It doesn't demand a lot of fuel or high maintenance cost from you.* *In this time of global energy crisis when fuel prices are skyrocketing in every country of the world, why waste fuel by running high horsepower engines unnecessarily?*

@@opcjanawszystko8074 very pathetic. i had a yzf r125. 14.5hp. Sat comfortably at 70-75mph on a dual carriageway for hours happily. it maxed out at 80-85 depending on how warm she was, but would do 70 happily all day long. if that things max is at 75 its pathetic.

@@theonlyqwertI had a rd 125 lc ypvs years ago and she would do the clock which was 80mph easily and that bike was built in the 80s so you would expect more from a modern 350cc 😂

Are you a 12 year old kid? Is motorcycling all about going fast? If that's the case then Indian and Harley Davidson should stop manufacturing 1800cc bikes, Triumph should stop making 1200cc Bonneville and their 2458cc Rocket 3 because these bikes can never be as fast as 1000cc Japanese bikes like ZX-10R, YZF-R1, CBR-1000RR, H2R despite having a cc advantage. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Huh, my dumbass did a 100 on my 350 just the other day....🤷🏽 And have seen another 350 like mine zip past me at about 120... Looks like my speedo is wrong then?? These vehicles are not meant for speed, just cruise along with a bit of retrostyle... You want racers, then get a racing motorcycle...
