IS-7 side armor to my Bourrasque standard AP: Ah, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary! Seriously, this thing's side armor is such a pain when down two tiers. It troll bounces so much. Day 50 of asking for Obj 263.

A very nice first tier 10 heavy choice for many. The armor is trollish enough to bounce shells while you can rush into positions with your best in class mobility, sure it doesn’t have 340HEAT like heaviums (277, WZ 5A) however once you go hulldown in this thing not even Jagdpanzer E100 should bother digging you out. Good heavy, was my first tier 10 and after 20k battles i still use this occasionally in Onslaught.

i have a love/hate relationship with the IS-7, my first and only Tier X. i really love the T-10 when it was the tank before IS-7 but i was not able to play the IS-7 as good as the T-10 no matter how hard i tried :(

Mine was the e100 and I had real trouble with it to begin with. The maus feels very annoying to play with despite it being very armoured. The is7 great after using it for a while. The object 268 is very terrible for me. It misses and feels like tissue paper

I like and have the Is-7 & also the Is-4. I just dont play them a lot, because matchmaking often matches me with 279(e) and I have a hard time hitting that tank. (Even with gold :-()

I'm not skill but yeah it's a perfect beginner row... from the start to finish the whole tech tree for the IS-7 are all solid choices. Also the IS-7 has super troll armour so even when you make a mistake the tank just forgives you and bounces the shell lol

would need a buff, for example, if it had like gun of the 277 or something, but even the gold of this kaku tank (my first tier 10 and i sold it because its just kaku) is not enough to penetrate the *weakest parts of some tanks. for example e100 turret after buffs, even facing it without angling, the apcr pen of is7 is just laughable. 5:03 you can exactly see , flat BOUNCE!

I do not agree. Yes, the penetration is not great but come on, the rest of the tank is pretty decent. And you have the best turret armor in the game!

@@raivo3532 i do not know who told you this, but its false, the is7 turret cheeks falls apart someone fires gold at it, and only works while at long range, which clearly is7 cant shoot at long range.

I have turbo + turbo directive, 2nd field mod which improves terrain resistance by 7% + removed speed governor that gave a +10% engine power. The tank moves like it's a medium tank.

IS7 has 0.06 turret traverse desperssion, maybe swap vstabs for turbo or vents? and is that hardening really important?

hardening grousers turbo. That's what I run on mine. Following the iyouxin school of light tank IS-7. the improved hardening mostly offsets the reduced track durability you get for your first field mod which drastically improves terrain resistances. With grousers and a turbo this thing achieves insane speeds. But you really have to commit to it. You sacrifice a lot for the mobility but there is nothing funnier than flaking an entire heavy flank in less than 30 seconds. You can do that with lights but then they ignore you cant really do much to them anyway. But in this thing, you get the flank and suddenly it's all over cause a single hulldown and they can't stop you shredding them. This thing going 60kph/ with ease on medium terrain is a blast.

@@Mike23443 grousers in mobility slot is enough i think, you wont hit 64km most of the time if you equip turbo, i think a spallliner for 60% less ramming damage is better than turbo, and you can also swap medkit for speed governer since crew has 65% protection from spalliner

@@cyberpunk4915 I like the turbo, wouldn't really cahnge it. I'd worry about a spall liner if arty was a big deal and HE wasn't a joke anymore. You do absolutely hit top speed on hard, especially on hard terrain in city maps, and it makes a big difference going uphill as well as increasing top speed going downhill. I'ts about 4 hph effective across all terrains. I don't run food because I still try not to waste money for no reason. I also refuse to drop a medkit becasue its far more annoying not having one for one game out of 10 where one of your crew gets hurt than having food for the 9 other games, especially considering it's so expensive.

Best thing of IS-7 is: it pretty much ignores goldammo. When I am really in rage because of goldammo spam, I just take out IS-7 for a spin and let their credits bounce of my hull :-D. Nowadays IS-7 is maybe the only reason I can play WOT high tier and still maintain my sanity ...

This is a big problem of some tier 10 tanks without too much flexibility: you have to shot a lot of gold. In my amx 13 105 i almost never use gold. And many battles I break even

That's a big problem with tier 10 in general. All heavy tanks that aren't the OP reward shit has pretty meh penetration so gold is mandatory. At the same time mediums get the same gold pen so they can brawl with heavy tanks no problem anyways, negating armor. Tier 10 is just a gold spam power creep fest most of the time

u can boost it with field modification now. It supposes to be 0.34 accuracy with vent and consumes, but u need to sacrifice improve hardening.
