Hi sir, I have a question .In the previous video ,you said that "dividend are dangerous" . company which pay dividend maybe in trouble (some time company get bankruptcy ).Then why company like Coco cola don't get bankruptcy?They are increasing dividend higher every year .And why Warren buffet taking dividend, if dividend paying company is dangerous?why he taking risk?pls answer it or make a video about it.

@@jijov.j1545 to clarify, dividends are not inherently dangerous, but they can be if a company does not have the profitability to sustain them. Coca Cola has been growing its earnings for a long time, so it has been able to also grow its dividend. Hope this clears things up.

This little piggy went to market, he had a monkey on his shoulder and a skip in his step. On the way he met a matador. Monetary policy is about the money supply versus demand, not interest rates. That's why we had low nominal rates in '08-'09, yet monetary policy was still tight. Also, corporate debt isn't a problem, on average with rising interest rates, because higher rates will mean there is higher aggregate demand, and hence higher revenue Interest rates are a symptom, not a cause.
@ThePlainBagel5 жыл бұрын
Can you clarify your point on corporate debt? Higher interest rates are generally associated with lower demand (i.e. consumers need to pay more to finance purchases, so they will not buy as many things). That would mean that higher interest rates equate to lower revenue, in addition to lower profits (higher interest rates mean higher costs for corporations). That's my understanding, anyway.

There won't be a market crash until after the presidential election. My understanding is that right around the time of a presidential election, the government spends a lot of money to make the the economy appear to be a stable as possible. This is to make it easier for the transition of power to take place, the people immediately losing faith in the government. So if I were you I would stay until maybe the spring after the election. I think a better way to guesstimate how will the market is performing his bed looking at yourself. Are you doing okay? Or are you starting to struggle. I was doing okay a couple of years ago, but have began to struggle recently.

Why do businesses think they must always grow? I have a small business and have come to know that growing would destroy me eventually. Oh, I have turned away work because we are so busy in my industry. But I pick my battles. I have now celebrated the 25th year in business, and have never had a down year. Profits are always evident, but a large corporate mentality is not my cup of tea. In fact, it's wrong! Never bite off more than one can chew without considering the risks leaning to not.

You raise a great point, and unfortunately, I believe the focus on growth is a negative by-product of the public investment platform. Many public investors care about nothing but their dollar return, so they are quick to invest in high growth companies, and abandon those experiencing a slow down, even if they are a solid business. There's a lot to gain in adopting a business owner mentality when investing.

(2) We are in uncharted waters given the Fed's decision to keep interest rates at zero for so long and its infusion of liquidity (i.e. cash) into the system, quantitative easing. I think the trend will be downward, but who knows? If you need your money soon, I would stay conservatively invested. If you don't need it for at least five years, I would stay in stocks.

The CAPE ratio's duration seems a bit arbitrary, especially given that 2009 might be what's inflating it currently. It should be possible (and relatively easy for those who have the information) to change the duration of the ratio to eliminate the possible outlier. This would mean that the 9 year CAPE ratio couldn't be compared to previous CAPE ratios, but they could also be adjusted to 9 year ratios.
