2024 and im still waiting to buy a griptillian- now the majority of variations they were offered in are discontinued. Sad, because after handling the bugout i still prefer the even larger griptillian in terms of ergonomics.

The beauty of the 535 is that it has a largish blade but carries small.

I would choose the mini for a edc because in my field of work, and social circles it would make people uncomfortable if I pulled out a almost 5 inch blade.

I made the mistake of going overboard with a Microtech Dirac Delta to use as an EDC, and a coworker said I looked like a serial killer with the 3.8” D/E Serrated Switch Blade. I switched to an OCASO Solstice. Which is much thinner, and more classy than threatening. Not sure what your line of work is, but you should give OCASO a look. They have some awesome Gentleman’s Folders I believe are worth their price for the quality you get. Around the same cost as a Bug Out, if not a little less. All depends on what you’re looking for, but if I worked in an office setting; OCASO all the way. They’re classy as hell.

@@R463R I live 50/50 between Germany and Japan. When I’m in Germany I carry the civivi stylum most of the time. I checked out the ocaso and it has a similar look. Stylum is one hand opening but non locking. Can’t carry anything in Japan. I have one of those mini leatherman without a knife
