I'd welcome it, as long as it works. I mean Ken Watanabe, Hiroyuki Sanada and Kōji Yakusho have starred in Western productions before, so why not the opposite for a change.

Don't let Hollywood provide ANY input whatsoever. The reason this movie worked is because it didn't worry about checking any boxes to satisfy the crowd that won't even watch the movie. Just concentrate on making a great movie with a good story and characters you care about.

This was my first thought too, but when he mentioned Oppenheimer I see his vision of a japanese style Godzilla with western actors. It could work, but i'd rather him keep working with Japanese talent.

I just met him a few days ago. At a private screening of this Godzilla film. Nice humble guy. He said they made the entire movie for $15 million. With only 35 people! The way they do things in Japan.

Dude. I'm from America and as much as I would love to see a bunch of different interesting actors from here in those movies. I say it's best to keep it with actors over there. Because capitulating to a market just for a name, won't make a movie good Go with the gassing that you feel is just for the movie I have the utmost faith in this director I know he will make something great

Fun fact, Minus Zero was made becasue no director was brave enough (their own words) to make a sequal to Shin Godzilla. So this legend said lets not make a sequel, lets tell a different version of it. With similar themes but instead make a movie about trying to SURVIVE a war, rather than killing or dying in it. Thats why Godzilla fails..he HATES us soo much he risks melting himself to kill the ships....and our heros aren't fighting out of hate..but to be able to live

@@lostkaiju6993 I for one am not interested in seeing Nolan’s boy or any other Hollywood meme star working on a real Japanese film, much less a Godzilla movie, sucking 99.99% of the budget they don’t have to begin with. If I wanted to see Cillian Murphy, I’d just watch whatever movie Nolan has ever made… of course, that’s just my opinion. If some people want to see whatever star from a tv show that is hot at the time, pretending to speak Japanese in a Godzilla movie, sure, go for it. It certainly did wonders for the American movies. But then again, why bother making a movie that was already done?

Yeah it’s not for everyone when you go into a kaiju movie you want just straight kaiju foght but the humans here are good and fleshed and the final fight was so good but if it’s not for you just stick to American godzilla
