Yeah if were being completely honest. If the removal spell hits the angel of destiny, you survive. and the table probably gangs up on me and Im not sure that I can fend off all 3 of you from that point. Or at the very least Sean and yourself do, but I had basically no backup plan from where I was.

Other than the Hall of the Bandit Lord and Resplendent Angel, that looked remarkably similar to my Lyra deck.

Yeah in general theres gonna be a lot of overlap in angel decks. This one was also based off of the secret lair, so probably even more room for similarity.

This seems like a solid deck, it was a shame that the SL didn't have a Lyra! An angel deck with life gain sub theme, and they omitted Lyra!

Yeah to some degree it feels liek the deck was designed for Lyra but they changed the commanders at the last minute.

I put Chivalric Alliance in my Isshin deck, and it goes hard! I think if you were even just drawing one from it, then it would still be worth playing.

I don't know what you're talking about having never seen mono white steamroll, I used to do turn 6 one-player deletes, a lot with my Odric deck and I did it with you in a webcam game near the beginning of Covid.

Im at that age where the memory is starting to go. Also having played a ton of angels, I know what the general pace of angel deck is, and this was just so much faster than anything I was expecting.

Tithe replaces a land, Archaeomancer's Map replaces a ramp spell. They are not the same thing, and it's much easier to slot in a Tithe over an Archaoemancer's Map because of this. Also that Swords to Plowshares cost them (and everyone else) the game. Unlucky.

Yeah we are in the era where a misplaced removal spell means the game ending in pretty short order. if they take down the angel of destiny they all have a pretty good chance to get back in the game, and with the 0 cards we drew its probably a rough ride from that point.
