I love those bars and don't worry about the shield being lower then the bars I see lots of road glides and street glides with shields lower then their bars.

I just installed a taller windshield on my Heritage. The up side, it fixed the buffetting I had. Down side, a loss of air flow. Noticeable in this heat. But, I can always take it off when I rip around town. I didn't think about a vented one until your video. I gonna look into that.

Beautiful video! I have that exact same one on my LRS. The only issue with the vented windshield is to keep the fairing clean, a lot of crap gets caught in between.

Hey D , if it’s any consolation , gas up here in Calgary is just under $9 a gallon, that’s for regular, and I put supreme in the sport glide , although we deal in litres. In other words $191.9 a litre for regular.

That’s insane! I just bought a Can Am Spyder F-3S it is suppose to run on premium. I run 93 octane in her, is it expensive? Yes but it’s worth it? Yes, it’s a toy and toys for big boys are costly. Period. 😉

did you experience any buffeting? I am thinking about doing the same thing and getting the 9 or 11 plus a 17 for longer trips

I get it still up from road underneath. Actually welcome that in the hot summer months.

I bought the vented 15” for my 48. Have tried to move it up, down, back, forth, tilted in every possible direction. Insane buffeting no matter what. I will have to scrap it.

Hey, how tall are you? I’m 5-9” and considering the MS vented 13” for my Iron. Also heard spacers between the windshield and fairing can help with buffeting. Thanks and ride safe.

Hi, how tall are you? I’ve got the same bike and seat and also looking at a road warrior with vented shield. I’m 5’6 and looking at either the 9 or 11 inch dark smoke vented but concerned about head wobble!! I have the MS El Paso in 17 and get massive Buffeting. Any help/ideas please?

The vents are for buffeting reduction...
@DCyclemoto Жыл бұрын
No…it isn’t.
@zeroneutral Жыл бұрын
@@DCyclemoto They break up the air traveling over the windshield. The slots are designed to disrupt airflow and improve buffeting by reducing buffeting. Yes they also let some air through. You think the vents are to simply let air in? Dude you are in a bike you are already getting air. I purchased an 11" slotted windshield specifically to reduce buffeting and they work wonderfully.
@DCyclemoto Жыл бұрын
@@zeroneutral i never noticed any difference in the buffeting. Only airflow. It lets more air into my helmet vents.
@zeroneutral Жыл бұрын
@@DCyclemoto Yes for sure it will. Some people never really experience buffeting with standard windshields it really depends. Really it does both things.

I don't think I could ride without the vented down here in Florida. Does a great job of getting controlled air through. One caution: every now and again you'll get a juicy bug that passes through the shield vents but hits the fairing. And you'll be sprayed with the guts.
