thans for the honest review. sony discontinued all there boomboxes. so looks like this wallymart unit is about the only one left

There are some good ones on Amazon and unlike this and the Sony, they are actual boomboxes. But they are old school and dont play CDs. The Sony is trash. I have it and after only about 15 cassette player uses, everything sounds muffled and terrible. 90% of the sound comes from the right speaker now and its unusable. CD player still works fine but the thing is trash. Hoping this one is better.

@@kaohsiung99 after 15 plays? I have a boombox I got off Amazon for $38 that still sounds great after like 3-4 times that usage.

This one might be good…however…every CD/cassette combo I’ve ever tried had some defect and wouldn’t always play properly. So… I bought a separate CD player and a separate cassette player, a long 3.5 mm cord to hook up to my headphone and both devices work fine and am doing it as old fashioned as I can get.

Well here's the thing if you have powered speakers you can actually hook them up into the auxiliary and it will sound just as good as Bose if not better ​@@luigicirelli2583
