Is Abuelo Pedro Still Alive? (This Fan Theory Says YES!)

In Disney’s newest animated hit, Encanto, the audience and fans were treated to a fresh take on a movie about family values. The plot of Encanto takes place in Colombia and is centered around Mirabel, the sole member of the Madrigal family that had not been granted a magical ability when she came of age. However, when the miracle that saved the Madrigal family decades ago begins to fade and disappear, it was up to Mirabel to save her family’s gifts. An interesting detail about Encanto is that, though they mention the “miracle” a lot, there is no direct explanation as to what the miracle actually was or is. Lucky for us, one dedicated fan came up with a theory that seems to be backed up by some pretty solid proof throughout the film.

You know the theory where they say that Pedro's spirit rests In the Casita. I think he is the whole Encanto because he wanted to keep his family and the community safe and that is exactly what the Encanto did for the Madrigals and the rest of the town.

The video title is extremely deceptive. The idea of Pedro's spirit being the spirit of Casita is fine, and I absolutely believe that to be the case, but that is something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from him being ALIVE. Alive literally means not dead, meaning he wasn't killed. The theory that Casita is Pedro has been around since the movie came out, which I'm sure you know, so just presenting a video as "Is Casita Abuelo Pedro?" won't get many views. So what do you do? Come up with a clickbait title that gives people the implication that you're presenting a new theory that Pedro is actually ALIVE so they'll watch your video to find out how. And I'm sad to say it worked! You roped me in! I was excited to hear a new theory about how Pedro somehow survived his encounter with the raiders and what he's been doing in the years since, but in actuality, this video presented nothing new whatsoever. Congrats on your shadiness and stooping to clickbait!

Or let's say that Abuelo Pedro is the Casita and Mirabel the Miraculous and Magical Butterfly that revived Casita (revived Pedro). Also as we all see that in Mirabel's dress there are butterflies, on Abuelo Pedro's Picture there are butterflies explaining that After Abuelo Pedro's sacrifice, the candle was formed and a butterfly inside was formed and Casita was born. Think guys, in Mirabel's dress there are butterflies and after Abuelo Pedro's sacrifice, a butterfly inside the candle was formed.

It makes so much sense that Pedro's spirit would be casita itself. Very emotional movie. My friend died shortly after this movie was released and I truly believe whenever he wants me to know that he's present, I either see a small white feather or hear a song that he would sing. Last month when I got my 7th tattoo done , the artist was listening to Bolero music( he's Mexican) and this one song that my friend would sing came on. He asked if I was OK and I told him "this is one of the songs he'd sing!" The artist said he woke up that morning with the urge to listen to Bolero and said "this is your friend's doing!" And he's doesn't even believe this stuff.

my theory is he already had powers of some sort kept it a secret and died before he could tell anyone and when he died he blessed the family with a house BUT they were never given any special powers and they were born with them from pedro and think about it his kids were just new babys when he died there was no way to know if they were born with powers or not and if this theory is true he only gave them a house and the candle is his spirit and this gift was past on through generations

Nope. If the soldiers didn't kill him, the miracle surely did. When the miracle happened and the candle transformed, there was a large blast of magical energy that KILLED the soldiers. It looked like disintegration to me. If Pedro wasn't killed already, that blast would have destroyed him. Sorry, next player!
