Great video! I remember reading about Akko in the context of the crusades. Such a historic place. As always, your background info is top notch. Keep it up!

Akko is soooo beautiful. For me, it's magic, the Hammam, the citadel, just the whole city/history🩷🩷🩷

You where in a city that was built on water. It was walled off almost like a castle. It was in the middle of the ocean. Everything was blueish grey. The ocean was purplish. And you heard estranged music. It made you feel distant. It was a piano...but it didn't sound like any ordinary piano. It sounded estranged, but beautiful. Everything felt foggy and the skies where a deep grey with blackish clouds. It rained all around. You saw colors out of their places. Even some new ones. It was really cold. But the cold made you feel comfortable. The small city inside the castle like stone walls was all stone and rural. Yet it was almost like a ghost town. Only a few robed people wandered past. It is a feeling simular to another world.

It was a Palestinian city that was occupied in 1948 by Jewish immigrants from Europe with the help of Britain. The majority of its residents are refugees living in Lebanon, and they are not allowed to return to their city. This city defeated Napoleon and was also the last castle of the Crusades in the Middle East

It was literally never a "Palestinian city"

Acre belonged to Lebanon for centuries of the Ottoman Empire and became part of the Land of Israel under the British mandate. In 1948 it became part of the State of Israel. It was never a Palestinian city

While it was never a "Palestinian City" in the sense of how people think of what a "Palestinian" City means in today's world. Before 1948, everything was considered a Palestinian city, as it was not yet Israel. As Golda Meir once said, "We were all Palestinians--I am a Palestinian!" Meaning, if you think of it from the perspective of the area it covers.

How was it not a Palestinian city? What you say is absurd. Was it a Ukrainian Jewish city or an Ethiopian Jewish or Russian Jewish city? It is a Palestinian city, like the cities of Tire and Sidon, which are very similar to them. They are Lebanese cities. If you occupied Lebanon, you would have said the same thing. A thief would not call himself a thief. Most of its inhabitants were displaced and killed, and they live in refugee camps and are not allowed to return only because they are Christians or Muslims and do not convert to Judaism, like some Russians, Moroccans or Ethiopians, you distinguish people on the basis of religion
