I wonder why the alden player boosted with the pg instead of boosting with the crit. It would have been the same number and attack pattern but they would have bounced the pg back instead

Probably because he's fighting a multibattle with low numbers deck. A trigger would be more efficient to guard with here. Or misplay, who knows
