After trying an AM5 setup with a ryzen 3d and an AM4 ryzen 3d there isnt a massive amount in it yet. Going over to AM5 now was a thing for me cause all the boards dropped massively in price. Even a b650e boards cheap now. Really is worth saving up for a 7800x3d and just being done for years to come. You will upgrade that gpu at some point.

I after 5 yrs was contemplating upgrading my r5 3600 and gpu when my Vega 64 Lc died last week. But I just settled for a used 5700xt. I can't really say if it was a improvement or not because I also knocked my 1440p monitor off the desk while fucking with a dead gpu. Now I'm stuck on a 720p. lol Settings are maxed but look like I'm playing on a old PS3. Maybe I'll adjust to these shitty graphics, so I never need to worry about any upgrading lol

I got a R7 5800X and i mainly game. Recently i found out that if you disable 4-cores you get 20-30% more FPS in every single game. The reason for that is that the L3 cache is now larger for the remaining active cores so it get's a massive boost in performance overall. So if you only game i suggest disabling 4-cores (in the BIOS) and use ECO-mode as well. This is working soo well for me that i am astonished that nobody on tech channels haven't even mentioned/tried that...

not going to watch. Short answer,. no. I have a 7800xt/5700x3d/rog stric f mobo/4 tb/ 64gb 4k mem and it will last me 13 years. I play d4, wow and do light work and editing. My rig ran me £1200 and that is less than 1 nvidia gpu

But there will be no new AM4 components, with the exception of maybe of ultra budget X3D chip, which means yes, it is technically a dead platform. Thats what dead platform means. Doesnt mean its not still usable.

Skip am5 it is overpriced and am4 is still being supported til 2029. Facts editt: of course the 2600 and 3600 will be awesome til 2029 but the x3d will be supported til 2031 and good til 2034. By am4 now for under 300 quid before the gpu and be solid til 2034. All games will be woke trash until 2028 due to govt schemes if you are a yankee so you can really pass on every thing that comes out post Elden Ring and SM2 and be okay. Reality, 94% of you audience play on junk 65mhz monitors. Cater to it. Make some rx 6800 vids and show how those old chip gpus are viable for the next decade.

Agree, I have more top end gear in my rig that will hold me til 2034 and it cost me far less than a single GPU from Nvidia that is piss as we do not game with RT or 4K
