I hate how "vulnerable" has basically replaced other words like opening up or crying. When I see women say they want a vulnerable man, it creeps me out because by definition, vulnerable is not something you should desire in anyone or want then to feel around you. These women need to earn mens trust if they want men to be comfortable opening up or expressing certain emotions. Because as it is, a lot of men do feel vulnerable because they will be judged and mocked for expressing these things because society isn't doing anything to facilitate it. If anything the opposite is happening, I've seen enough t shirts and mugs with slogans like "male tears" and a smug women in frame with it to know women have very little empathy for mens issues. Vulnerable is a feeling/state, it's not an action so I don't know why it keep being talked about as such.

@viperstriker472810 ай бұрын
Empathy is just projection after all. It's not possible to actually feel what someone else does so we put ourselves in their situation and ask how we would feel, which is better described as projection. This trauma dump shows what it is she is projecting when she tries to imagine what a man feels. That's the issue with empathy, it stops working as when you get an emotional stake of your own in the topic. Compassion keeps working because it is a conscious choice not based on feeling. I would have told that girl, I have no empathy for you, because I have never had that experience. But I have compassion for you, and can tell you if I was there he wouldn't have gotten away with treating you like that. And then they would probably call me toxicly masculine.

@viperstriker472810 ай бұрын
I think the issue was that the guy who said it was also acting like a child. And he let a bunch of extra implications in by wording it so poorly. Like using the word equal before saying it... I have noticed that women prefer when I tone done the aggression of how I talk. Meanwhile men get insulted as they start to feel like I am treating them like children. It's a crude way of saying it, but women do want to be treated like children in temperament. And there is nothing wrong with that, it's just a preference as they are more adverse to conflicts then men. This is just a comparison of manners, and women's preference actually makes men more civilized and suitable for interaction with children. Safe spaces are different though and I think more in line with what your saying, they are for actually children. Anyone who admits they are a child can have a safe space. Anyone who can function without them gets respect regardless of which gender.

@@lsn0851specifically, women are benefitted more than men in places like family court, insurance benefits, and crisis situations. Some of these make sense, like in the latter, a woman may not have the strength to save herself in a dire situation whereas a man could, so the woman should be aided before the man. Another similar situation is with military drafts, which women aren’t subjected to despite being allowed to join the military of our own volition. Men are subject to the draft, even if they don’t want to be in the military. Those cases have to do with the biological disparity between men and women for the most part, thus they make sense; however, family and divorce courts especially are not this way. @viperstriker472810 ай бұрын
You are correct that is the definition and what many people mean. But it's not correct to say it was normalized, men inherently are this way and it's not toxic at all. As they should. Equity means equality of outcomes, which requires giving more opportunities to any person or “class” they’ve identified as oppressed, at the expense of people or “class” they’ve identified as to oppressors. Examples would be things like affirmative action, which used skin color as part of the decision to hire someone or accept them into a university, or offering scholarships to students of a particular race or gender and excluding anyone else. This is done under the assumption that it would make the outcomes of everyone the same or equal. But it’s just discrimination under a different title. It also teaches the class that received the extra opportunities to not take responsibility for themselves. “ oh you are 35 years old and haven’t done anything to improve yourself? It’s not your fault, whity’s ancestors enslaved Africans who may or may not be your ancestors hundreds of years ago, so it their fault you have no desire to get higher education or get a job other then selling drugs or joining a gang. You’re a victim of white supremacy. Equality of opportunity, however, gives everyone the same opportunities and teaches them the skills necessary to succeed. But it’s up to each individual to use those opportunities and skills to succeed. Equality doesn’t take away resources from one group and give it to a different group.

I know Ben Shapiro has gone into detail about this, but, I challenge any feminist to give us one legal right a man has that a woman doesn't, because I can list a number of them that women have that men do not. In his exchanges, he was asking for legal and definitive rights, not speculative privileges. For example: 1. Women have the birth right to genital integrity. Any circumcised male had that right refused at birth. 2. Women have the birth right to vote without agreeing to die or be conscripted into war. Selective service is required for men to vote, as well as many other things like going to college, federal assistance for anything. That all by itself is a HUGE list. 3. Women have the right to choose parenthood. A man has no such rights. She wants to kill her unborn baby, the father cannot do anything about that. She wants to keep the baby and he doesn't, he cannot be absolved of his responsibilities. They will be enforced at the point of a gun. 4. Women have the right to be assumed (competent) caregivers for children. Any man who has ever faced down family court knows this to be 100% true. Men like me who managed to get custody of their children from their mothers did so against all odds and probabilities. 5. Women have the right to call unwanted, coerced sex rape. This includes when female teachers rape their students and end up pregnant from it, only to file a support order on the underage father....AND FUCKING GET IT!! >:( 6. Women have the right to lower jail sentences for the same crime. No matter the age, women never serve the same amount of time a man does for equal crimes. Some can even get away with them wholesale. 7. Women have the right to not be assumed sexual predators. This is court positioning, which has spilled over into societal expectations, not the other way around. 8. Women have the right to government departments that solely serve their interests. Even the Veterans Affairs offices treat their female clients differently than the male ones. 9. Women have the right to government-enforced gender quotas. Someone please contest this one. 10. Women have the right to exclusive tax benefits for being a business owner. Check out tax laws on that. 11. Women have the right to domestic violence shelters. Rest in Peace, Earl Silverman. It's a shame your death has been ignored by so many for so long for daring to do the unthinkable. 12. Women have the right to not be assumed the primary aggressor in a domestic dispute. Fuck the Duluth model!! >:( And that whole "wage gap" thing... I'd like to see how this supposed "wage gap" would look when we factor child support and alimony into the mix, because I'm not incredulous enough to believe child support is anything more than alimony for unmarried mothers, and more often than not, it doesn't go to the children for their upkeep. And by "factor in", I mean 'subtracted from the Obligor and added to the Obligee'. Once we start seeing those numbers, men everywhere will know just how savagely this country hates them. When I was young, I only had my mom. No dad. But she told me, and taught me in a very harsh manner to only cry when I was REALLY hurt. I was going to be expected as a man to hold things together when everything around me was falling apart. I am about 50, and I live in constant pain. I'm in enough pain that autonomically, I have tears forming in my eyes during the worst of it, but the act of crying doesn't actually happen. When you experience this degree of pain constantly, the threshold goes beyond the point where you cry over pain. But to experience the sort of pain that would cause me to cry... that requires someone dying. That requires a pet dying. That requires something to cause such an unfathomable sense of loss and grief, that the stoicism fades away. Someone explain to me what good anyone gets out of me breaking down, other than the satisfaction that I am seriously hurt. I NEVER espouse vulnerability as a virtue. The only reason a man would do this is to give others ammunition to use against them later. Bullshit on that.

It's because the man use the word "equal" when he said it. Our culture is obsessed with "equal" when I think no one actually wanted to be treated "equally". It's such a low standard really. We treat others how we WANT to be treated, we don't treat them the way we ARE treated. Best to explain the concept, get them to agree, then say the word. If they disagree, ask them what the word means. And by they, I don't mean women. I mean feminists, as no matter the gender feminists use the wrong definition for many words. The left in general redefines words like this to make the conversation a minefield. If you hit a mine, they tune out and stop listening. But it's also about having someone who cares enough to invalidate your emotions. Just because you feel something, doesn't mean it is true or good. It may hurt but the friend I have that are willing to call me out I value the most. And discipline (mental strength) is blocking the backlash at those people who are trying to help. Because the backlash is the natural reaction when getting called out on something. But just because the brain tells us to be offended, doesn't mean we have to listen. We had what I took to be a pleasant conversation, but then she broke off and started instigating for me to leave the bookstore. I thought this was ridiculous because I had done nothing wrong. I had bought books in that bookstore, and I was likely to buy books in there again. So I waited until I was ready to leave before I left. Then, the next time, I wasn't even in the bookstore. I was looking at these kittens on display in a pet store across from the bookstore. The manager went and got two security guards and had them check out her bookstore. Nothing came of the guards being brought in because I had done absolutely nothing wrong. I have gotten in other situations like this in public spaces.

God says in v 26 "Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness." The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three people, yet one. They have different tasks, different functions. But don't give me this crap about the government being responsible for keeping you safe. The government can't help you until after the fact. And this is hardly just a women's issue. Men get r a p e d too, usually it takes drugs though. "multiple people are having the same experiences then we have a societal issue" So alien abductions are a societal issue?

I don't even agree that there were limits on women historically. Every right that made it to the average man, made it to women in record time as soon as we made sure it was a good system. No one in history has been spared more carnage, death, and misery than any given woman

The problem is reality vs feelings. The problem is that when one's experiences make a belief that everyone else should have rules bound by them because the person involved has hurt, it makes that person look really shallow because they incorporate that all of one side should be forced to have more regulation than themselves when the situation flips. My right to life should not be infringed because someone else experienced something bad. That's not how any of it should work.

I think an interesting thing people should bring up is biblical masculinity. The idea that men should be full of “righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness” - Paul There’s more to it than just that but I’m still learning about it and honestly that’s the definition Google gave me.

Awwww! I found something you are wrong about. Men are not less emotional creatures, we just have to be in control of our emotion, anything else is dangerous. So we teach our sons not to allow their emotions to project into the world by their behaviour, thus we learn not to harm other humans who emotionally hurt us... and there is the danger... we are (in general) capable of feats of immense strength and violence, and that has to be controlled and as much as possible disconnected from our emotions. You talked about men who will hurt women earlier... they're the ones who never learnt to disconnect their behaviour from what they feel by controlling their emotions.

Takeaway: the only safe thing to do and the only reliably honorable solution is to not socialize with Feminists at all and keep any interactions to the minimum necessary. How is one to know that an individual is a Feminist?: Unknown. However, the repercussions of minimizing contact with a non-Feminist are insignificant. The consequences of contact with a Feminist can be dire. The safe thing to do is aviod interactions, at least until you know where they stand. Granted, this will probably get you friend-zoned but it's better than gambling and losing.

If you look into. You can clearly see gender based discrimination against men. Especially when it comes to parental rights. In my city. A grandfather had the cops called on him because he was sitting on a bench watching his granddaughter. He was put in handcuff for being a man. All because a woman said so. That's discrimination due to his gender.

One area where men and women are still not treated equally is the draft. All men in The US must register for the Selective Service at age 18 and face up to $250k fine and/or 5 years jail for failure to do so. Despite all restrictions on women's service in the military being lifted, they still are not required to register for the draft.
@squidward645 Жыл бұрын
It makes sense but also doesn't. We could extend the draft to women with the expectation that most won't meet the physical standards for ground combat even with strength and endurance training so they can be placed in non- ground combat roles. Republicans would never go for that because of their "women in military bad" mindset.
@belivuk2526 Жыл бұрын
@@squidward645there are different things that women could do to replace a military draft. A caretaking draft or something like that. Have them go through the training to raise a kid and care for the elderly with community service in caretaking facilities for a bit. It's nowhere near demanding nor potentially life ruining as a military draft. And the op missed another few sections of the right where men and women are not equal. - assault - snuggle struggle (you know what i mean) assault - child custody - marital separation
@DannyDevitoOffical-TrustMeBro Жыл бұрын
I think women being exempt from the draft did and still could make sense, as long as there are some expectations set. Women are weaker than men. We can’t fight like they can, so in a battle we are more of a liability than anything else. We can do well in other military settings, but not the main one-fighting. We can’t even carry as much heavy equipment as male soldiers do, so we wouldn’t last as long on a dangerous mission. Furthermore, if all young men and women were drafted, who would be at home to continue managing the workforce? It makes sense to apply women to this, and have fighting age men go and handle the war effort. However, the draft isn’t as practical as it once was, because standards have been artificially lowered to allow women into areas of the military that only men are strong enough to make effective. Women can’t be navy SEALs on our own strength, so the standards are lowered to let us in. This is a huge problem, it greatly compromises the efficacy of the military. This shouldn’t happen. My opinion is that draft should stay as it is, with only men being allowed in. Conversely, women should be removed from certain services that we practically should not be able to get into in the first place. Instead of trying to ignore the innate disparities between men and women, we should be working to use those disparities to our benefit.

@@DannyDevitoOffical-TrustMeBro Modern feminists only want to choose the cherry pick the equality aspects that favor them as women. But the moment they have to endure some negative aspects or hardships about equality, they suddenly change their colors and stop being feminist. If modern feminists truly want equality, they should get not only the same privileges and rights as men, but also endure the same hardships as men. In honor of modern feminists, women should also receive the same jail time as men, do the heavy lifting in construction, receive the same false sexual harassment claims as men an endure the same punishment that comes with participating war. Also, no more separation by gender in sports. Women will now have to do martial arts against men twice their size and play american football against men 3 times their size (very unlikely to realistically win... but since modern feminists think so then; "yass queen, slay queen).

Being a survivor of sexual assault and personally knowing numerous people who also were, all but two of the people I've known were raped by women. All but one of them, and myself, it was done when they were babies or very small children. All of the cases, including my own, except for one of the two cases where it was done by a man, the perpetrator was never punished. To be fair, it's a small sample size. But from my own personal observations, women are far, far more likely to commit sexual assault, to be p3dophiles, and to get away with such crimes. It's disgusting. Also, a lot of these feminists need to realize that a quick slap on the butt by some stranger walking by is not a fucking sexual assault. Saying it is downplays actual assault.
