Why can’t we just accept that she just has a female figure. They don’t have genders but they have their own personalities and the personality shapes their bodies. Arcee has a feminine personality so she has a feminine frame. Personally I hate when they modernize old characters cause that’s not the character everyone grew up with, they need make new characters stop Changing old ones.

The transgender stuff was originally just to make sense with their established “only male transformers” standard in the comic universe. Luckily now any form of gender-swap or change to a character seems to be exclusive to less popular characters, hoping to strike gold and make them popular like with what happened to Blackout and Barricade with the movies. Also taking away them being female might be a blow to female fans and female voice actors who voiced such characters, also it makes it harder to organize the hundreds of different characters in the franchise.

Wow, there was a lot of miss information in this clip. If you actually read that comic book series, you would have learned that there were female bots, just way before the civil war. There was a ruling class that began to purge factions of bots that no longer held a use. Female bots were one of those factions. So were minicons and Moon Bots. Megatron was a miner and his faction was replaced with drones. His entire group was whiped out when they rebelled. Only a few survived. Rumble and Frenzy are among them. There is a lot more but that's the jist of what happened on cybertron. There are also the lost colonies and the few bots who survived those purges. Arcee is a transgender IN THAT SERIES. Every series is different. Each retailing of the characters are different. So is the new movie Arcee transgender/transexual? Probably not, unless they state otherwise in movie comic books or the producers say she is.

Yeah I leave out a lot of context and information to fit the short length of a minute and will likely include all this information if I do a proper video about the subject. Then again did the comics confirm the females were wiped out like with Rewind’s race? I honestly didn’t realize until now the 2005 continuity explanation for why certain characters weren’t around was genocide.

Pretty much, it was a one time thing that hasn’t been reincorporated, so it’s safe to say the concept has been retired for the character.
