Same here. I watched videos for a couple years while waiting to build my pc. Idk about you. But I think when my friends hear how much you can do from me and that I’m still learning a lot after 3 months, turns them off to the idea. Like this “they see you pointing at the moon, not the moon itself.” I’m trying subtlety in my approaches and I can say, three of them are building PCs and getting ARMA now. Tom Sawyer those son’s a bitches. Btw I have 90% of my gameplay as Zeus, it’s the main (not whole) reason I play. As an rts player, this is the closest game I can think of that plays like a game of D&D with your buddies, a fps and an rts all in one delightful package. D&D was their inspiration for Zeus and I LOVE creating and playing out scenarios.

Yeah key can be tedious to learn at first i must agree ! Just to say, me and my friends were all playing COD, then BF, then siege... but one day i've found Arma and you know what ? We all loved it. I'm sure if you show to your friend few videos he will *at least* be interested. I convinced my friends to join me, and it's been now 7 years and a half that we're all playing. May be you should show to your friend those ones: Luetin09 "what can a new player expect ?" , Viper1Zero "top10 reasons to play arma3 in 2020" and from official arma3 "33 things about arma3". To talk about arma 4 sadly i don't think it will comes until many years ; they are currently still working on the new engine which they will make their games on. If the engine is not ready, it means arma 4 can't even starts to be developped, and to give you an idea arma 3 took 7 years of development before release. So yeah, they have to finish the engine first, then at least 7 years for arma 4 if not more...

When discovering the ARMA-series, I discovered that not the action-stuff was so important to me, but combined OPS stuff, that typically gets nerved in all other shooter: A10 runs, 100 tanks (if you want them), Artielly, Carpet bombing, Nukes - it is all there, and there are other people who enjoy that stuff with, too. And it even is sort-of balanced in some modes! Really neat game for people who like simulations with _some_ action in there.

So essentially the military version of garry's mod. I remember playing arma 2 and the dayz mod, good times.

man I loved operation flashpoint back in the day

I played all the Operation Flashpoint games back in the day. I just bought Arma Gold, and Arma X package from Steam. I probably will purchase Arma 3 soon.

Arma reforger is underrated, all we need is a lot more people to create mods and support it instead of waiting for 6 more years for arma 4. Also F 2nd ranger server someone needs to make a 100 player conflict map like last time

I'm seriously looking at getting it after seeing the Warhammer 40k mods. Looks fantastic.

I’ve had this game for a year or more, but was turned off by the initial gameplay campaign. Seemed like the AI soldiers were too good of a shot. I would get one shot killed immediately constantly. Watching you video now after all these years I may just try it again and try playing a mod. Thanks for the great content! ✌️

Top video. Can you do a comparison video between this, Squad, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Hell Let Loose?

Arma 3 is amazing. The only complaint i would have if i started new is the price. The price alone is reasonable, but the DLC are kinda on the pricey side.

Love the video, btw I'm now considering about buying this (I watched a lot of Arma 3 video like making mission, firefight tactic) but my friends aren't play this which I really don't mind just want to know that if I buy this and play alone (making mission play alone and download community mission to play alone) is it worth?
@lennyking13403 жыл бұрын
I've been playing like that since I've got It, you can spend a good amount of time solo if you like the mods and all
@hadenlee28813 жыл бұрын
It’s still really fun alone but I play multiplayer with just anybody and have a blast
@joostdriesens39843 жыл бұрын
I play almost always alone and have thousands of hours in the game. It's just multiple games in one: you can spend hours creating missions, you can spend hours playing missions, you can just explore the huge maps that are available, it's a low key flight simulator, you can play realistic milsim type missions or fanciful spy missions, whatever you want! :-)

can you play lone wolf style? or is it all online multiplayer?

Is this game worth without dlc? The base game is cheap when on discount. But a lot of DLCs
@rizkyadampangestu70653 жыл бұрын
Just buy the apex bundle, yes you can play with the base game only. But I wouldn't recommend that. Apex bundle give you a decent choice to server and game mode availability.

So it's actually called Direct Action (which is a dynamic game mode I built). That map is Takistan which I haven't actually released for DA yet, but there are 10+ other maps it's supported on. Anizay would be the closest to Takistan if you're after a desert theme. Just search for Direct Action in the workshop and you'll find it.

I just got it from the lunar new year sale for about 8 bucks. It is great in every way my only problem is on how to play this game properly. I am ready to learn what needs to be learned from the game I have tried to join a quick match just a few hours ago to find myself clueless.

Bohemia Interactive does not produce training software. Their sister studio, who is independent and based in Australia, use the same engine for their training suite, Virtual Battlegrounds, now at the third iteration, I believe. My guess is that they licence the engine, but that is beyond my knowledge.
